When neurophysiologist started doing exotic brain research they found the cat a handy lab animal because they are cheap and their head size is very uniform like a research rat.

So all the neurochemisty, neurophysiology and cat brain research was done only to later discover they are unique. Rats, Pigs, Dogs, People are more similar in neurophysiology.

Go figure how far back they must have split off, from us to be so unique.

Cats can react to people drugs, but also uniquely to Cat Nip.

Four nights now, Orange Kitty, see first post or -

the cat that was breaking into pet owners homes for pet food,

I convinced to rendez-vous at my porch for sunset feeding for over a year.

Orange Kitty does not come when called and does not allow me within ten feet. Although at a distance we can exchange posture & eye language -

four nights now, Orange Kitty has not made an appearance. :(

Hopefully just fat on fence rats but, my neighbor's cat was just coyote harvested about a month ago.

Good luck Orange Kitty where ever you may be.

Moi 😿

Orange Kitty came to dinner :)

Nellie likes to chase Rupert in the house, right up until he turns and slaps the shit out of her, she forget about this for about a week then it starts all over. Actually I really think they all like each other but there is a line the dogs know not to cross.

DO you think that the pet stores will sell us a "pet" version of the "woman beater "T" shirt" that we could buy for him?

Our young male cat took charge of out "dog pack" the other day by beating the shit out of "general schnauzer" who tries to intimidate the pit bull-mixes, one of whom is about 75 lbs.

Amazing how animals can get a long when properly supervised, much like the "E.A." message board...

how true, the get along fine when there both on the couch with me or on the bed together but when one runs down the hall, all bets are off.

General Rupert usually wins over Private Nellie. plus he out weighs her by 4lbs. she is 7lbs, he is 11lbs. that's a lot of difference.

My plan to get rich with cats has been thwarted.

It was my belief a cat could only have a chance to live off the land if it was taught hunting, killing, eating by Mama cat.

As a kid I observed Mama cat bringing half alive pray to kittens to learn how to be a cat.

So I figured I would find confirmed killing female cats and breed kittens guaranteed as mousers. 💡

Now I find out cats can pick these skills up on their own. :(

I admire Black Persian kitty who does hunt and i have had to teach her, don't bring it near the house. Upon capturing her pray, she meows a most sorrowful sound that I think she is hurt. Now I know and check out, rodent or bird.

BTW, any cat haters on Board?

Never understood people who just dislike cats.

Allergy doesn't count.

Has anyone tried kitty pooped coffee? Kopi luwak

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_Luwak

Only eighty dollars a cup. The coffee fruit is eaten by the cat and the 'bean' is defecated after the fruit around the bean has been digested.

Wonder if we could import ripe coffee fruits and make it into kitty food, harvest from the kitty box and make beaucoup $ $ $ .

There must be a way to make a buck off cats.

It's high on my list of things to do like finding out about the gynecology of elephants and skydiving into a cactus patch or finding out if rabid rats will bite the hand that feed them.

You know what they call a bucket list? Well this is on my chamberpot list.
