Hi AtlantaJim,

I read your latest post to my wife. "Interesting." Was her comment. I agree. It sounds like you're doing very well. We think it's interesting that your female friend was so excited about your chemical castration. I have mentioned my interest in castration to several female friends over the years and they all seemed very interested. My wife and I have been discussed the problems I had with cyproterone acetate and, bearing in mind suggestions made by bobbie (thanks bobbie) and others, we have come up with an idea for a different approach. More of that soon on my thread 'to see if it suits me'.

Hope it continues to suit you AJ.

All the best

Well 3 weeks in and here is what is happening so far; I still have not lost my sexual desire although it is way down. Erection almost have to be forced and ejaculate volumn is almost nothing and very clear. I want to go at least 2 more weeks at 100mg per day of the cyproterone before I back off. I have noticed my skin is drier (I have or had very oily skin) also my beard does not grow as fast, at least i think it does not. No depression so far (knock on wood). Over all I am very happy and plan to keep going with my trial for the next 6 months, If it goes as planned i will seek the surgery. Again I thank all for the support and will keep you posted.

You're doing so well AJ! I do hope it continues this way for you. It's particularly encouraging that your mood is not depressed.

All the best

Well all its been 5 weeks and to be honest I am very happy!:D I have not had an erection without really working at it in almost 3 weeks and when I ejaculate its hardly anything, I rarely think of sex at all and I love that. When I do make my self erect it is not very hard at all. My testicles especially the right one which was much smaller to begin with has shrunk a lot although the left has not changed much at all. I am so glad I have taken the steps I have I feel clammed and relaxed I have had a little weight gain but not much my skin is much less oily than it was and my beard feels a bit softer and does not appear to grow as fast I think I will stay on my current dosage of 100mg cyproterone a day for the next 3 weeks then drop to either 75mg or 50mg. If I still feel like i do know in about 4-6 months I will have my testicles removed, that will be the next step finding some one to do that. I feel so much calmer and relaxed not driven by the need for sex all the time I have tried to masterbate and just loose interest and I have not yet ( knock on wood ) had what I feel are and syptoms of depression. I feel that the chemical test drive is the best thing anyone contemplating castration can do and I highly, highly recommend that you consider it before taking the irreversible step of having having surgical castration.

Things sound like they are working out about right for you at this stage in your journey. You are still in the very early stages and I would stay on the 100mg for a while. It seems to be working well for you. Keep at this level for another month and let things stabilize for a while. You will be going through far more changes in the coming weeks.

I am happy that it is working for you. Keep us informed on progress.

I'm glad to hear this is working so well for you. I'm really feeling strongly given our past conversations and your real life test that you will become a surgical eunuch after you finish this trial.

Keep in touch.

Hi!

Just curious question: How long can you go on that dose without really having gotten a permanent pre-op eunuch?

A wondering

Hi all well here I am at six weeks and I still feel pretty good only thing I am having some concern over is some joint pain. But I understand that does happen. I have had no unwanted erections what so ever and find that comforting. Bobbie in one of your posts you mentioned that more changes are to come could you exspand on that a bit? Well all I am still very happy and will continue on this path thanks to all for the support.

The symptom I developed more slowly than all the others from low testosterone during my 2 1/2 years of chemical castration was loss of strength and stamina. No, I didn't get so weak I couldn't do the things I regularly do, but it was more difficult to lift heavy things and move them- not impossible, just more difficult. Loss of strength and itchiness caused by dry skin were the only negatives for me. I've been castrated now and am on a low dose of Testosterone so my skin doesn't itch and have at least stopped any further loss of strength without bringing back and sexual needs.
