I had a bit of a issue proving that surgery was a "valid" treatment for Orchialgia. It took printing out medical studies on the effectiveness of the treatment and the surgeon then doing some R&D on the authors to insure they were mainstream.

Anyway, glad you got a bone scan. Guys who are "testicularly Challanged" like us need to do so. And kudos to Jesus for saying to take your Calcium and Vit D... This is very good advise!

It's amazing how far doctors have to go to avoid protracted fights with the insurance companies. When I was diagnosed with my prolactinoma the insurance company, using old medical texts that said these tumors were exclusively a woman's problem, refused to pay for the confirming MRI until my doctor signed a statement that he had no financial interest in the MRI lab. They also wanted a copy of the film for their doctors to examine before paying. They paid promptly after their doctors saw the golf ball sized tumor on the film.

When a colonoscopy revealed a precancerous polyp at the opening of my appendix my doctor scheduled an appendectomy suspecting that there were more inside the appendix. (Later confirmed by the lab.) However, since this was so unusual, they just listed the reason as appendicitis to avoid a fight with the insurance company. This stuff goes on and on just to get necessary treatment paid for.

Let me add my congratulations on the results of the bone scan. Get your calcium and vitamin D and don't drink sodas!!!

Yes, I get labs that include Estrodiol and the insurance people seem to think that men don't have ANY so labs for that are rejected then resent every single time... SOOOOOOO stupid....

according to the article from earlier in the thread, it's phosphoric acid you need to look out for.

Pepsi and Coke both have this. Mountain dew was in the clear. Check your ingrediant list before you continue consumption...

actually, just drink what you want -- just DO not make soda your primary fluid intake and I'll think you'll be ok.

Like they say. Moderation is key. Hell, too much water (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 59_pf.html)can hurt you.

Dad always used to say, "In all things moderation, but especially moderation." WTF, Coke works well with rum or whisky (Canadian). Doesn't the booze neutralize the phosphoric acid or something? Oh, whatever....
