It took me awhile to be able to post anything under this thread. Christina's passing took me so much by surprise that I was just stunned.

I considered her a friend though I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person, I did chat with her and lilac by web cam and in the chat room on many occasions.

We somehow never have enough friends in this world, especially someone as special and sincere as Christian. She was a great help and inspiration to me in my early transition stages.

I will truly miss her but we shed tears for our own loss for she is now in a better place than the rest of us who remain and she is now truly free of her pain.

May our Lord be with you now and always my dear friend for you are now with the angels.

I know I am really late in posting this. My father passed away that same Monday as Christina did after I had the life support pulled from him that morning. It was a hideous week! Christina and my father were exact opposites, so the dichotomy of feelings was very confusing for me too. I was equally concerned about the eternal welfare of them both. I know Christina is in a place of peace and joy, no more tears, no more pain; a place I long for too, where we will meet face to face for the first time, but not for the first time heart to heart.

Christina was my dear, wonderful friend. I will miss her more than I can express. I hope the family got the Card I sent her ironically on the same day that she passed away, and that it brings comfort to all of them instead.

G'bye sis!!! I'll see you again soon!

::Still crying::

ohhh Alecia! u're here too! /waves

I guess for a 1st post, this is a worthy one to make.

Anyways I had the privilege of speaking to christina on the irc chat channel on darkstar a few times a few years ago. she was kindly, a great help, offered fantastic advice and was a marvelous listening ear.

Its rather shocking to suddenly find out shes gone. I dont have much else to say except that she was a wonderful wonderful person and she'll be sorely missed.

Aaugh! I haven't been frequenting the Archive much, so totally missed this whole thing. God, I hate cancer. The idea of one's own body cells running amok must be so frustrating to face.

she was very recognizable and always very gracious and kind.

All the rest of you, take care of yourselves! Stop smoking! Get all your pains and lumps checked out!

I've not been around here much in the past 8 months, I'm at a loss for words. She was like a big sister, I can't think of a better way to describe what Christina was to many of us here...

Much of what I know about Christina is second-hand from people who had the privilege of knowing her well. She really touched my heart a few months ago when I was feeling discouraged on how things were progressing for me in my gender program. She wrote me a few lines of encouragement that helped me keep me going. I knew then that she was ill and she still made the effort to reach out to me and offer encouragement.

Hey Toots

It's been two months since your pain ended and you went to a better world far above us. We should celebrate your passage from pain to the beauty and grace of the clouds as you soar with eagles and angels but, being mere mortals, we cry because you are no longer here to console us, to laugh with us and hold our hands.

Christina, I miss you everyday of my life and always will.

I never had the fortune of getting to chat with Christina, but as an until recently lurker of the forum I was acquainted with her from her posts. It was quite strange and saddening to learn of her passing. My respects. :(
