If you do not like the doctor and feel it is time to get another one I would get a copy of all of your records. I mean all of them. Stand there and watch them copy them. That way they can not cover any of their tracks. Then I would report the doctor for not listening to his patients. If you have symptoms of what could be a serious problem he should respond in a professional manner. It is his responsibility to treat the body and not what he just thinks.
I am not sure if you are wanting to get testosterone treatments?
You should have a good explanation on how you got in the condition you are now in when he does ask what happened to you. The method you chose is a little harder to explain.
Wish you luck

Bobbie (and others) - Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
I like the doctor - he is a good diagnostician and has done an excellent job for me and my family for some 15 years. So I am not really wanting to replace him - at least not yet.
I'm not wanting to go on any sort of HRT as I don't want my excessive libido problem to recur. I do want to find out if I was sucessful in castrating myself. All indications are that I did, but I really do want to see the numbers.
Telling my doctor what I did to myself is the main problem. I'm not sure how I should handle this. My original plan was for him to discover my low T and then I could "remember" how I "fell onto a sawhorse" last summer while doing carpentry and hurt my groin. I'd really like to level with him and tell him about my sex addiction problems and why I tried castration, but I don't know if I have the balls to do it (pun intended).
One possible alternative is to walk into an urology clinic in a nearby town (one of these places that do vasectomies and the like) and complain of symptoms of male menopause. That should get me a physical exam and a T-test without too many questions asked.

I doubt the doctor will fall for the sawhorse story. Whats stopping you from fessing up? Doctors have heard it all trust me...
He might scold you for taking things into your own hands but I would say its very hard to treat a patient who is not truthful. And possibly dangerous.

Several years back when I was still on chemical castration drugs I did take a saliva hormone test from this company. A while later I got a real hormone test done with my doctor. The test results were very similar in number. For me at least the two test came up with very close numbers.
It may be worth the time and money to try it and see what you have for numbers. Think it took about a few weeks to get the results.
You pay for the test kit. Then you check off what test you want to be preformed on your sample and the price for each test is on the order form in the kit. There were several combo test where they would test several things for a package price.

Thanks, Mr. T. You have given me some very good advice. I already was a bit concerned about the future consequences of not telling the truth to my doctor. I guess I need to go confess my sins... and get that T test.

I'm glad I had some good advice. Which ahh... I'm probably guilty of not taking.

SIGH.... I take a drug to dial down my E2 that my Doctor is not keen on... I've been reading more about it and seeing that (like always so far) she is probably right and I should ditch it.
Anyway, if I can tell her "my balls hurt" TRUST me you can tell your doctor because saying that nearly caught my hair on fire from embaressment.

I'll be sure and wear a flame-proof hair net when I next see my doctor!
Thanks again for your advice.

So put the issue to rest for you and all. Get a blood test. While it is possible to successfully castrate oneself using a burdizzo or similar device, it is rare. Most people here who have used such things report very negatively in terms of pain, swelling, hemhorraging (sp?), and lack of success. To be perfectly honest, I would be highly suspicious of any claim such as this. It is also very possible that such symptomology can result from illness, disease process, as well as psychosomatics. Convince yourself you have accomplished your end and you may well convince your body to act as though it has been. Only a blood test will tell for sure if you have stopped your testosterone production.
Kristoff,
I owe you an apology and a great big thank you! You and some of the others were correct in challenging my assumption that I had castrated myself by clamping.
When Dr. K. got the testicles out, they were fully vascularized (pink color) and of normal size. I had expected gray or black shrivelled lumps. NOT!
I am convinced that I did manage to shut down the cells that produced Testosterone, at least for a while. However, since I never managed to arrange for a blood test, we will never know, as the question is now very moot.

An away mission is taking place on an alien planet. Kirk, Spock, and Dr. McCoy are standing next to the prone form of one of their red-shirted security guards.
Dr. McCoy looks down at the crumpled body of the security man. The poor fellow's black bell-bottomed pants are down around his ankles. He is unconscoius. McCoy does his thing with his medical tricorder.
Turning to Captain Kirk, he blurts, "He's still alive, but... his BALLS are GONE!"
Kirk's hands unconsciously reach for his groin.
Spock bends over for his own inspection. "He'll be all right, Doctor. Those are non-essential body parts."
