Mid-morning and raining with the odd thunder to get the dogs wound up. It is monsoon season in the mountains. Clouds have been keeping temps down to 80s all week. Pushing 115 at Havasu down on the Colorado River.

Never really above 80F but great fluctuations in humidity.

Rats in my corn are outsmarting the traps.

The lime tree looked bountiful but dropped all the baby limes.

Suspect it was just too cool It now flowers again.

Had lots of dragon fruit flowers but, none of them made it.

When I lived in Milwaukee, actually Mequon, I had a big, old cherry tree full of fruit.

In one day the birds stripped it of all fruit.

Weather here has been as above.

Consistent.

Mid Seventies high to low of Mid Sixties.

Air is most often fresh feeling and less monsoonal humidity from Arizona.

And sunset is finally before 8PM.

The Dragon Fruit plant makes flowers, but not fruit.

It did some years ago.

The cats were all in hypersleep mode until today.

The 2 that love being outside don't seem to want to be out.

It's hot, and it's dry. When the rain quit, it QUIT!

I have several purple-leaf peach trees, and 4 others (normal green leaf) peaches that yield a white peach. They were all planted for flowering, not fruit. But they do fruit. They're usually the size of a golf ball or a bit larger and somewhat tart. Very nice, in fact.

They usually have a good yield every other year. This was due to be a good year, but cold wet weather late into May and June got most of the buds. Now the fruit that did set is mostly falling off.

I don't know the species. All I know is the purple ones tend to grow like weeds everywhere a pit lands.

Same.

Same.

So much the same.

And different since those drought years.

August feels like "June Gloom" in the mornings.

Wonderful to keep temperatures moderate.

I am currently at "WAR" with the squirrel people.

They attacked my Fuji Apples ripening early and my last, avocado.
