It's been nice and spring-like and not rainy the past four days.
Sunday and Monday were cool and sunny.
Tuesday temperatures went to 80F
Today, another clear day with temperatures at 79/80F all around.
And FYI -
To model weather like "The FArmer's Almanac" or the Farm Bureaus (Extension services for crop rotation), two temperatures have to be recorded each day - - the daytime high and the nighttime low. Weather forecasting or modeling isn't done with one average. It requires two.
Yes, it seems for years the major storms have just hopped over Pittsburgh.
Today I read there is a FLOOD ALERT from Illinois to New Jersey with Pittsburgh in the middle.
And you got those 3 rivers draining it all, converging at . . .
How goes the "flood"? @Dave or anyone.
Same here as last reported. Just gray.

It's the Appalachian Mountains that divide weather. The State of Ohio is basically flat. The Appalachian range travels northeast and some storms bounce north of Pittsburgh towards Erie and New York State and stay above Interstate 80 which travels east/west across Pennsylvania - -
While other storms go south below the Mason-Dixon Line and through Virginia.
The weather here has been wet, nearly record precipitation.
Yes, there is flooding and, yes, people are losing homes, and yes, businesses are being ruined, and people are suffering. That's well reported in the newspapers and TV stations. It doesn't need me to carry on about it.

Yes it does.
You make it sound like you live in the forever Green Hills with rainbows
and unicorns prancing all around.
Rather you share eyewitness accounts and personal inconveniences
as the rest do who don't live in Southern, Coastal California.
Because here we . . . .
Observations of your garden, or ones nearby are also worthy of mention.
The news sensationalizes everything.

Another June Gloom

It rained all last night and stopped early.
Then, it rained at 2:15pm, then the sun came out.
It rained at 5:30pm, after that it stayed cloudy.
It rained at 7:00pm and stopped quickly.
It's now 8:00pm and raining hard.
The entire western half of Pennsylvania is under a flood watch. So is most of Eastern Ohio, West Virginia, and parts of Maryland.
What part of that is in any way "rainbows and unicorns" or may I offer another word - SchadenFreude - which doesn't thrill me in any way.

Meanwhile out west, sunny and dry. Lake Powell water level has risen 30' since May 1 from all the spring precip. That gets it within sight of 2017 and 2018 levels.

Only fringes of country show low level drought, which undoubtably will change 200% once Paolo's neighbors get their seed in the ground.

Schadenfreude! Moi ?
Besides it isn't a sin in English.
Meanwhile, hope this makes you feel better -
the stinky, asthma provoking Gray has yielded to a consolidation of
white and rain clouds. It has rained nearby but, not here.
It took the air turning fresh to realize how bad it was.
Although I've been suspicious of high moisture air relating to acidity and particulates.
Two secrets the gov't knows and chooses not to measure.
I do hope @Dave feels better.
Maybe some "recognition"

of our comparative air quality.
Oh, and Moi - HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Thank you. Moi

YOU do not sound like Ernie of Maine.
And Dave started it!
