You may qualify for home visits.

Possibly even a comely nurse.

Comely or Comedy Nurse?

I also made an appointment tomorrow at Lenscrafters for an eye exam.

Liz was knocking on my door about 40 minutes ago but I never answered the door. She was yelling that she wanted the cat carrier. She returned about four times knocking each time on my door and all my windows. After I saw her go out the gate, I put the cat carrier outside my door.

It's definitely time I buy a padlock for that gate.

I had my eye exam today. The doc says my eyes are improving. The cost of the exam plus three new pairs of glasses was $1,240 - ouch

Order online from Zenni for a hell of a lot less. I have a set I paid $45 for - full pop-bottle-bottom lenses, work and fit great. All you need is a prescription and the distance between pupils. Everything lense crafters does is grossly over-priced.

I use Zenni Optical also and am pleased with their work.

I just returned from grocery shopping in my old barrio, busing there and back; there's no other grocery closer.

Liz's daughter, Jeanette, found me on Facebook and tried asking me for $20.00. I replied that I have a new life, no longer give out loans from those who never pay me back and especially no loans to a young woman who has stolen from me over the years. Was my language a little too strong for Facebook? Just curious.

Why not call it like you see it? Call her out for all to see and be warned by. Good on you.

Oh, by the way. I finally purchased a padlock for the driveway-gate of the yard that leads to my apartment.

Do you realize that the LensCrafters deal sounds like a total rip-off to most of us?

I get an eye exam at Costco for about $75 and glasses for about $100 per pair.

You should consider discussing your shopping plans with some other old fart, like

River.

The first thing I would do is change my Facebook privacy setting so she couldn't get onto my Facebook page.

I wouldn't have posted what you did. While I think it's justified, I would have put her on my personal "ignore" from this point on, and I wouldn't have responded to her no matter what she said. As pleasurable as making the comment might be, it might lead her to attempt to get even with you one way or the other, and they've proved they can be nasty.
