So it rained for a few weeks. Some places had mudslides but that's been fixed. Some houses were flooded but they've been fixed too.

I don't enjoy reporting weather disasters like that. It seems cruel to me.

Also, although it did get cold, I only had a 1/2 inch snow that lasted one (1), -- I repeat -- one (1) day a few weeks ago. It was pretty but didn't last.

Today there might be a coating of snow out there. The weather prediction was two tenths of an inch. That's less than a quarter of an inch.

In Western Pennsylvania, the snow belt is from Beaver and Butler PA north to Erie. It's lake-effect precipitation from Lake Erie.

Even more generally, deep snow occurs Route I-80 and to the North.

To the east of Pittsburgh are the Appalachian mountains and the higher elevations could get lots of snow.

Thank You Dave.

Sorry you are not into "share the misery" of weather.

They say we are in for rain and they're near psychotic behavior over mud slides.

It was suppose to arrive at 7PM but has incrementally been delayed to midnight.

Pecans are mostly harvested and a squirrel that was competing for them got life trapped and relocated.

No more crocus blooms since the one reported. Blue with 3 bright, red saffron threads.

Finally a winter storm. Rain or snow, depending on elevation.

All these wonderful rain storms

blunted by a sudden High Pressure area over Southern California as the rain approaches.

:(

The air is still fresh from the one moderate rain we had a few weeks ago.

A very different season than what we experienced for so many years.

As the Pecan Tree sheds its' leaves I see Pecans in their husks still ripening.

I wait for the husk to spontaneously open. Biggest I have seen.

Sadly, this wonderfully successful tree where others diet before will have

to be trimmed on one side to give the Sugar Prune Plum tree some space & sun.

Pecan trees are really beautiful in the wind.

Left for our glorious capital at 7 this morning. Sunny with a bank of clouds to this east. Hot air balloons rising on the north city edge. Started back at 11. Snow began at edge of mountains and traffic slowed to 35-45. There is one high point to get over. Not that high and not curvey, but a miles long relatively gentle upgrade. Traffic was backed up for miles snaking thru spun out cars and trucks. Once at the top and heading downhile, it was the mirror image for cars going the other way.

Cheer up!

There's an enormous crowd in Times Sq, soaked to the skin and no restroom for miles!

Maybe you just have to hold it in, or.... Depends?

Happy New Year, 新年快乐 !

Windy.

Windy, winds continue to be windy!

Nights getting into the mid forties good for chill hour fruits & nuts,

Days barely above 60 and feel chilly. Low humidity and static in the air.

I am delaying planting my sweet shelling peas, I usually plant just after T'giving.

@Dave, How's y'weather ?

From the news here, it looks like you have been in the convergence of 2 or 4 storms.

Scientific stufies show conclusively that the more wind you have, the windier it gets.
