This is the third time this spring that a hillside in the Pittsburgh area has started to slip in the rain.
Three "landslides" thanks to wet ground and quite a few houses and apartments rendered unlivable.
More rain tonight.

We have gone from cold gray and dank to some sun, rain, warmer, colder, snow, 65F, rain, storms, lightning, you name it...it's Mother Nature has turned around and forgot her Prozac or something. The storms today have been hellish. We got 2" of snow on Easter, it was near 70 today, now it's storming again and my backup power supply for the PC just blew her guts. Into the pond she goes!

There's a thunderstorm going on and I'm wandering the house with a camping lantern hoping the power doesn't go out.

We have just finished getting 6 inches of snow and the temps are running 20-25 degrees below "normal". That last part is specifically for Paolo. --FLO--

Thanks, Uncle. Much appreciated. We just landed here Wed. night in the great frozen north, which isn't that much worse than back home! It was snowing when I left the airport.

Paolo and I landed a few minutes apart. It's the coldest I've been in years, though I expected worse. My wife has been complaining about the cold at home. It's dropped from the low 80s to the low 70s....

Made a dentist run across the border last week. In one stretch we were picking up a radio station from around Tucson where the announcer was giving the weather and said that it was currently a chilly 71.

Yes, 9K sounds correct for your home and adjacent structures.
I like gas because the fuel doesn't go bad like liquid fuels over time, unused in a "tank".
Of course I do not know how many big propane home tanks a Generac generator may require / day.
But, its' effect on my "natural gas bill" for over one day of electricity was not that bad.
On the homefront
I eat a few sweet shelling peas / day. It is still early for them to be ripe so I look for the oldest.
The rain keeps stopping 2 hours north of me on the 101.
I hate the Weather Service. Denying me rain over and over like deja vu repeating itself.
