Neither my indoor Siamese brothers nor indoor outdoor Old Fat Black kitty have demonstrated "revenge" on me. But, I have had cats that did. Not to be confused with looking straight at you and clawing a forbidden area mischievously, but those behaviors that happen rarely to express -

I'm pissed off with you!

Anyone familiar with "Kitty Revenge" and how did they do it?

When I get flea bit I know it is time to treat the cats again. Amazing how fast Frontline Plus works.

Old Fat Black Kitty hangs in the back and front yards now. Social but not "loving" like puppy dog Siamese brothers who require personal attention every day. Izzy goes for it when I am starting to go to bed. Curling up under my armpit or on my stomach, just for 20 minutes or so - then moves on.

Solly is first eye opening in the morning. Meowing, head bunting until acknowledged.

Old Fat Black Kitty just makes a small sound and stretches when she wants only a few moments of attention. Even trying to encourage, "love time" with her does not work. She only does that when she moves into a new home and ID's the sympathetic sucker. I have seen her do it twice, once on me, once three homes ago.

Cats are proud creatures, but like all creatures sometimes they do something that is totally embarrassing, something that you see them do, something that makes you point at them and laugh.

This is time to get a can of food and give them it and some of their favorite treat as they will get even with you. Revenge of the cat is real and one of the things they like to do is pee or poop on your bed, favorite chair, in your shoe. So defuse the issue, lots of praise and treats, treats work best.

My son had a cat that did something really stupid, my son laughed at the cat and did not make up to the cat, when the cat went outside he left, they never saw the cat again. A few months later while talking to a guy down the street he saw the cat in their window. The cat saw my son looking at it and it turned its head so as to not look. Yep he was still pissed at my son.

The thing to remember about cats is that you can not tame a wild beast, Cats allow you to take care of them but they know at anytime they can leave you and be just fine on their own.

Remember the Dog is part of your pack, the Cat allows you to be part of his pride, he will even include the dog.

I make it a point to have social time with each cat.

Izzy, the little 🐈 brother goes for as soon as I get in bed. Other times during the day too, but waiting for me to get into bed and being there for some social time and a 20 minute arm pit curl nap is a regular.

Solly, the big 🐈 is a puppy dog. Wants ❤️ time constantly.

OFBK, :kittygray is a mix Persian with small ears, short tail and longish fur is not a real social kitty. Likes to coo for attention and a belly rub when outside but not in the house. However, at this house and a previous home upon introduction - she ID'ed the sucker and spent lots of cuddle time until accepted.

Communicating regularly with cats is a must. People think they do not require it. Solitary don'tchyaknow.

None of my 3 cats are into "play". Toys are a waste of money, string about 10 seconds to boredom.

Yes, peeing where they should not is the classic - pissed off cat. Luckily never my bed.

Interesting story about the cat who moved to a new home.

The weather grayed in a bit but is still warm. All three cats are unusually "clingy". Even OFBK who is usually ten feet away. She is a really sweet kitty but, does not know how to invite luv time except outside. I pick up on her acting frustrated and taking to pacing short distances. All calms when I give her attention. Sometimes just hold her for five minutes in a relaxed but standing posture.

The Siamese brothers have no trouble expressing their luv time demands. They will crawl over you until satisfied. The big one sleeps at my tummy level every night. The instinct not to roll over on baby often has me corralled to a corner of the bed by morning. And OFBK absolutely refuses luv time on the bed. Escapes ASAP but will curl up some ten feet away for a few hours.

Point: They have different personalities. Interact with each as individuals.

My wife never got that and accused me of training cats to like me. Dogs love her but I never saw a cat take to her, although she likes cats.

Dogs are easy, you feed them they love you, Cats take time, you must present yourself to them and show them that you are willing to serve them. It is quite clear your wife was one who wanted master status, not good with a cat, dogs on the other hand are quite happy with that arrangement.

Moi = servant to his cats.

Just as we are now the servants of corn, Mac! Oops, a topic for another thread perhaps.

For those who love them, I'm glad there are cats.
