We're a little to the west of Chilli. It's cooling down and only expected to be in the upper 80s today. According to the morning paper, the fires are now 96% contained. No more houses are being threatened, only trees and brush. I expect Halloween to be an even bigger event than normal this year. We need something to celebrate.

Are you in line for the storm hitting the New England area?
Here it is like Autumn with chances of rain late next week.
High temperatures dropped from over 100, to the 80's and now barely 70F for a high.
Moisture is in the air.

Some may ask, "Why?",
I say, "I forget".

We had great weather today, for the next 4 or 5 months, it gonna be cold.....and maybe even.freeze for a minute....we Cali people can't work in the rain, snow or cold or temps above 94 degrees you know...we have stress cards for when it gets to hot ... And during winter when ten drops of rain hit a one inch square we go inside.
I have got to get to work, get a purpose, get a mission!
But daddy I want a mission....
Chilli
preferably one by the ocean...with a bunch of injuns picking grapes... a mission....not some damn ranchero where you bloody your hands and break your back and for what???? Fuck! MY GRION HURTS, AND IF I HAD BALLS WHY THEY'D FUCKING HURT TOO..AND ALL US DAMN WESTCOAST BLUE STATE TRUMP HATING SANCTUARY LOVING FOOLS just fucking looovvveee California.....
Soooo.....in leu of a mission (fully equipped with friars, injuns and grapes galore)....I'm willing to trade a BTS Ranchero, for those who don't know that's a beat to shit rachero for an original El Camino, like a 1959....
Hoping for rain and the end if the fires.

The E.A. :hearthrob Land is receiving an early taste of Winter.
Reports have it heading towards Ernie of Maine.
Here my reservoirs and snow pack are being increased but, no rain on my turf.
Lettuce is sprouting from seeds derived from plants allowed to flower and become brown from last year.
A few Asparagus spears now and then.
Beautiful sunsets as storm systems move through.
Crisp cool air. Occasionally with a smell of ocean salt.

We good color this year however the wind pretty much ended that. There are some pocks of color. Thank you Moi for thinking of me.

Even just for schadenfreude sake?
On Monday our under ground electric lines are getting replaced along my street.
My natural gas generator will turn itself on 30 seconds after "they" cut the line.
Made by Generec. I have had the only lights in the n'hood several times.
And it "feels great".
So I guess that storm in the Midwest passed Maine already or is it still heading your way?
We have not heard from anyone in the E.A.:hearthrob Land. Did they make it?

Weather has been nice here for last few weeks. Every day in the 70's but no rain yet.

Yes, but our reservoirs are getting theirs plus the snow pack is increasing too.
Our rain would just flow down the gutters to the ocean.
Still, I would love some rain.
Meanwhile, those storm remnants that don't yield us rain do make for some pretty clouds and sunsets.
