Yes.
The Anaheim Hills, Tustin, Orange fire is closer to Moi.
I'm on the other end of Jamboree Road.
Not much flammable nature in MacTheWolfLand
We've had some cool, ocean breezes, due to shift to fire favoring Santa Ana Winds this Sunday.
The fern like growth on my Asparagus is so thick I cut half of them totally to better observe spears before it all goes dormant. And maybe induce spearing.
I am going to watch the cut and uncut plants for any difference. Especially next Spring.
Added manure to the vegetable boxes and turned the soil. Letting it be dormant to the end of November when I plant sweet shelling peas, spinach and lettuce. Some "wild" lettuce seed is sprouting. "Wild", lettuce I let flower and make seeds.

BTW
2 new cats. A huge orange and white tuxedo male born March 24 and an iddy biddy tabby dark gray female born June 1.
I like and miss my predictable, adult cats. This Dynamic Duo is either sleeping or all over me. And I swear they use the scratch box twice as much as an adult cat. I know I am going to have to let them in the yard sometime. I have it fenced in but, a cat can find a way. I like outside in day time and called in at night. It's just so risky at first. When they get into a "play frenzy", I fear they will get lost or caught by a coyote.

We are riding a weather roller coaster and I imagine the same in JesusLand up north.
Dry, hot conditions for a few days with a few days of cool in between.
Today, hot and dry. Friday is suppose to be cool but rain chances have evaporated.
Following Monday, hot and dry all over again like deja vu in a never ending loop repeating itself.
Why I like October so much I do not know right now.

Vancouver Canada here - we refer to our area as the "Wet Coast" (as opposed to the West Coast) for a reason.
It's raining right now.
{ Temperatures are translated into Fahrenheit }.
It's cooler here - we hit 60-ish in the day, but it's 50-ish now, and we've hit 40 in the evenings.

It's getting chilly at night here now. Have to bring the potted plants inside, and make room for them. With as tiny as this house is, as Jesus A. can attest to, that's hard.
I wish I could find someone who wants these. I have more prayer plants, arrowhead ivy, and Christmas cactus than I know what to do with.

Last night was 33F and my furnace definitely was on.
Strangely dry, no rain since Saturday Night.
And one thing: plants don't stand a prayer in my house, even prayer plants.

Hot & dry with the promise of a cool down then hot & dry again come Sunday
with Monday and Tuesday being the hottest yet experienced here
at the desert by the sea.
Looking forward to flannel shirt weather or even jacket weather.
We actually had some a few weeks ago and everyone thought it would be an early Autumn.
"Felt like Autumn but the smell of rotting leaves wasn't there". Fresh cool breezes.
What a tease that was.

Yesterday was a Goldilocks day up on the Colorado Plateau. Blue skies, puffy cumulous clouds, temps around 72.
