Cloudy today. No rain. Not wet.

scatter-brained thunderstorms tomorrow... Afternoon popups probably. Scattered over where YOU will be and not anywhere else. Like Dracula "I want to suck your blood!" ... these scattered storms "I want to rain on your day!"

The wet, drippy unbreathable heat has finally broken. Tomatoes are beginning to ripen, after the first set rotted off.

The biting insects are out in force, though.

Rather than using chemical mosquito dunks for the rain barrel, I read that a couple packets of Kool-Aid lemonade mix would kill the larva. It worked! Only took 2, too!

Yep, Kool-Aid lemonade is lethal. Have you tasted it? --FLO--

Humidity over 100% if it were possible without precipitation.

Not usual at all for my, Desert by the Sea.

Very, Pre Sharknado weather.

Beautiful red sunset as a harbinger of what's to come Sunday.

A global Sharknado. Be prepared.

Flo,

With all the Kool-Aid we drank as kids, it's a wonder we lived.

I did mix and sample some lemonade. It all went in the rain barrel!

We had another fish-drowner yesterday, 2.1". I dropped a hook out the window and landed a nice bass.

The summer thunderstorm (monsoon) season has cranked pretty good this year. Northern Arizona is as green as Kentucky and we have the dramatic skies to boot. Unfortunately there is the downside. Several members of a family drowned a bit back during a flash flood. One of the summer forest fires burned right up to the edge of Mayer Afterwards you could drive by and your car smelled of ashes. Now they are getting mudflows from downpours on barren soil where the fire burned off the cover.

First winter-style cold front is blowing thru west central Nevada today. First break in the summer pattern. Strong SW winds blowing all the gunk in the air with blue skies, white clouds and NW winds on the backside. Droppping the temperatures a could of degrees. Mind you, 101 to 97, but still.......

Feels like an early Autumn here too, in Southern Coastal California.

The roads were wet this morning although I did not witness it happen. Drizzle? Mist? But, a friend told me it rained briefly about ten miles away. Beautiful clouds throughout the day.

I would bet it will be a normal to heavy rain season '17-'18.

Temp in the mid seventies with fresh breezes off the ocean a mile away.

My third attempt at corn this year tasseled too early again.

I have never had so much trouble growing corn as I have this year. 😠

And this was 2 varieties. One that use to work and a new one.
