That is one of the hardest things in the world to go thru, but she will still be with you after she passes.

Yes, cats do haunt there old homes.

I even had guests who changed subjects to announce they felt a departed cat's presence.

I never accepted putting an animal down if it was not in pain.

BTW kitty is eating more. Even hard food. I leave about 4 kinds of food around the house.

Gravy is still her #1. And water drinking not a problem

Still in a bubble of coolness, even fog while neighboring areas roast.

Get Kitty some good cannabis. That'll get the appetite up.

She prefers rolling in the back yard catnip patches.

Today, she seems to be eating less.

Insists on going outside and finds her way to her favorite watering hole

then back to the door and her chair. She seems to know the way

as she zigzags to her destination. I suspect cataracts.

The Fava beans are growing gangbusters and the corn is about an inch tall.

A few ripe Boysenberries a day. It remains high sixties here while

the areas around me bake.

I hope someone turned over MacWolf. He must be done on one side by now.

He lives in Heat Alert area. Probably had over 110F. Someone should check in with him. Or not.

Marijuana for the pussycat? Shame, shame Paolo, trying to addict an innocent feline to weed :P

It rained in this area last night and I slept well. That's something I'm discovering that's new this year. When it rains at night I sleep soundly.

However, there were flash floods east of me. One city got as much rain yesterday as it usually gets in the entire month of June.

The entirety of SW Pennsylvania and parts of West Virginia and Ohio are under Flash Flood watches.

And it's going to rain all day today.

1.5" of rain here today, and the heat has broken. We're all happy about that. No watering of the tomatoes and peppers and flowers for a bit.

How was your heat wave?

Did you hit 115F or even 120F ? And how many times?

Moi, the same as above report.

I do not believe cats like cannabis.

I've seen cats get intoxicated enough to wobble when they walk

but I don't think it was a preferred State of Cat for them.

Not like Catnip, aka Catmint.

Before & After a few days of A/C use - I keep a cool house

the breeze has been great just blowing through the house

keeping home in the high sixties. The gov't's weather department

says that is going to change with temperatures rising to 83F by Friday,

then cruising at 80F there after. No swing back to lower temperatures

forecast.

The Fava Beans are about 8" tall with no support.

Does anyone know it they require pole support?

The heat should help the new corn field.

Oh, Black kitty is eating some what.

Hard food, and canned. Rarely table scraps.

I keep lots of feeding and water stations around the house.

Most definitely blind to close up things like getting trapped

between 4 thin chair legs as she bangs into each one.

Anyone heard from MacTheWolf, aka Wolfie, aka MacWolf?

He was in some serious heat about a week ago.

😠

I have an old complaint -- every time I call the landscaper to mow my yard, it rains for three or four days.

I think it knows and it's raining just to piss me off.

It has cooled from a Humid 80F+ to 71F with 94% Humidity.

This ain't my Desert by the Sea. It's disgustingly tropical aggravating residual asthma.

Yesterday, it was similar and a few drops of rain might be seen on the pavement.

Oh for a good ole Midwestern Thunderstorm to freshen the air.
