I blame Moi for this thread.
A good snow in Utah day before yesterday. May snow happens about once every decade. Made for some gorgeous scenery in the red rock country.

Squirrel #19 has been trapped and relocated similar to recent previous.
It has rarely gotten over 70F and is expected to be 80F this w'end.
Not one of five kinds of spinach seeds will sprout. Advice?
Now that the Sweet Shelling Peas are finished I am going to try fava beans in that area.
Apricots are smaller than usual and starting to turn color. Just the reds. No yellows yet.
A boysenberry glut is coming and tiny Italian Prune Plums are forming.
The loquats are finished and the peach trees are anyone's guess. Fruiting. But, what quality?
They were all sick last year and are recovering.
The Asparagus patch I planted years ago did very poorly this spring. Advice?

Good luck with the squirrels. I now have a small, scared, young, gray example trying to set up residence in my house. I am going to try a live trap. --FLO--

If you ever run out of squirrels, I can easily trap a couple of dekasquirrels to ship to you. It would hardly make a dent in my population.

My squirrel is alive and well. He (or more likely she) is just looking for a place to hide and something to eat. Mostly she just runs and hides when people are around, not chewing on anything but some discarded food. I couldn't possibly fatten her up and eat her, she is the only occupant of the house who doesn't talk back to me. --FLO--

How's the height of the river with all the storms this year?
A hotter few days with dry air has yielded to a fog along the coast. I hear in Wolfies area they is still hot.
Picked some Blueberries today. Not as sweet or flavorful as last year from the same bush.
