Adult Protective Services just called me. She said they wanted to release my mom home sometime next week but had to verify if the house is clean and bug free. I'm cleaning all day, everyday so it will be clean by the weekend but I fear I shall not be bug free. But, it will be the best I can manage. It might not pass the APS inspection bug wise, but it should clean wise.

It sounds like you're making progress. Keep plugging away at the bug situation. Mabye, you'll at least have them down to a small stampede when the time comes. --FLO--

Friends and I met with the para-legal and started the ball rolling on my conservatorship of my mom. I just need to something from her nursing home physician to get it going.

I was home from the paralegal and began vacumning when the doorbell rang. Standing there were "three" social workers, one of whom was Bill, a friend of mine. They were here to inspect the house. After a curosory 15 minute look they pointed out a few areas I needed to work on but said, overall, they were impressed with my cleaning progress.

I assured them the roach guy was coming out to estimate the cost of de-roaching the place sometime today.

The three social workers said they see no reason why mom can't come home next Wednesday :). 🙏

The roach guys from AntiMite just left after doing the inspection. They said an industrial-fog is the best treatment considering how extensive my roach problem is. It would cost $250 but I could pay half down now and half after the first next month.

I and the animals would have to be out of the house for six hours only. The dogs can go outside but not sure yet how to deal with the cat. She'd go nuts in my car for six hours and likely drive me nuts too. I'll think about the cat.

AntiMite Pest Control says they'll call me back in a hour to set up the actual day for the fogging.

That's all Folks :)

Put the Dogs in the back yard like you said, but as for the Cat, you can send it to the automatic Cat wash like I posted before.

All this sounds good. I panic when I don't have much money--a lot of panic in my life! Take care of yourself.

AntiMite Pest Control is coming over tomorrow between 10:00am and noon to start pumping my house with gas. At that time I give them $125.

Things are expensive... Used to be be one could "get gassed" for less than $100 :P

Generally gasses that exterminators use have a short half-live and decompose chemically into inert and/or harmless substances in a matter of a few hours.

This is why they usually do it twice. They look at the pest, look up its life cycle and wait enough time for the next generation to hatch and then have at it again.

Seldom do that have to do it a thrid time.
