Hooray for Ernie's rainfall. It rained here three solid days. We're in a drought too. Go figure

Well if it is of interest or even relavant here across the seas and down a bit in north Queensland we are having a drought too. Coupled with the fact that since I came to this city in 1998 the local Council hasn't spent a cent on water infrastructure but have allowed 50k new homes to be built. so the city's water supply has dried up and so has everybody's lawns!

Here in Southern California they require me to use 25% less water while they add thousands of new water customers with no building codes for gray water recycling or any such water code not written in 1950.

Conservation is a Fool's Bet.

Conserving just allows more customers with no additional tits.

I got about a half inch of rain in two storms about a week ago. Lucky for me because it was one of those thin storms event between Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach. Areas north and south unaffected. The last 2 predicted rain events did not happen. Still, the cycle of "heat wave" alternating with possible rain does look more promising than El Ninozilla.

Got Weather ?

Since the cool, moister times it is a warm November with highs near 80 and occasionally a few clouds.

The past two days, it's been about 80F here.

It's 41F now.

Time to find that long underwear, although we've yet to have a real frost. Some areas have had scattered.

Giant snowballs in Siberia might

be connected to a frosty U.S. winter

More News at Eleven, Ten for those not in sync

Looks like a "dry" November after some promise like weather in October.

Heavy moisture clouds off coast even making some very thick, coastal fog.

I do hope Giant Siberan Snowballs deliver better than, El Ninozilla.

A few snowflakes showed up in the air this morning. Nothing hit the ground and if it did it melted because nothing is frozen.

Eire, Pennsylvania (about 140 miles north of me) had an inch because of Lake Effect snow ...

Pathetic start to Winter and very late start too. . .

In Minneapolis we got about an inch or two of snow, but temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Today was high 20s but pleasant. Had the gang over for dinner, and it was pleasant.

Overcast and drizzly until tomorrow afternoon. Looks like November. Might as well be back east going to Kristoff's dinner (sounds like fun).
