There's Always The Weather
Re: There's Always The Weather
It got down to 49F here last night, and with the fan in the window, the room stayed at 67F.
Gave the poor window AC a rest.
It rained night before last, another 1/2".

Re: There's Always The Weather
Fall is officially here, highs in the 60s all week and some rain and wind every day. The weather pattern has been unusual. The radar has shown an almost constant counter clockwise circular pattern with east, north, east winds off Lake Michigan similar to a hurricane pattern circling the eye but there is no severe weather anywhere nearby. Better than the stifling heat and high humidity of a few weeks ago.
I've been in shorts and tee shirts or tank tops exclusively since spring. I'll stay in them until it gets below freezing and I have a light jacket handy for the early morning hours just in case. The fewer clothes the better. So much more comfortable.

Autumn and the temperatures have fallen before the leaves turned...
Rain too. Cold and ignorant rain.

Today our high was 76 and when I walked over to the ATM a few minutes ago it was actually chilly. I love the sign of cooler weather coming my way

Cooler, Yes.
But, still no "smell" of Autumn.
The sunsets are occasionally brilliant orange as the glowing orb reflects off seaward clouds that hang at various level taking the form of various sorts defined by meteorologists or someone.
Some small watermelon are still ripening and I wrapped them in foil to avoid rat bites and virtual hollowing out by, same.
A pecan nut split its' husk revealing the pecan inside. Most are still green and sealed tight.
The Cat sleep.

Get yourself some windup mouse/rat traps.

Then you've got meat to go with your melons.
