That sounds very much like there is some Manx (tailless cats) genes in there somewhere. They almost have the back legs of rabbits.

They are not quite that long, just clearly a little longer than her front legs. It gives her a funny little walk that is apparently common to her breed.

Persephone also has this trait her brother lacks of using her front paws like hands. Ulysses will stick his face into things before he remembers he has paws. Persephone will manipulate things with her little hands. If she had opposable thumbs, I'd try her on a Rubic's cube just to keep her occupied. When she wants my attention, she will tap my arm with the pads of her front paws. When I ignore that, she adds the claws. More than once I've been woken up in the night to someone slapping me in the middle of my forehead. She's a small cat, but she can slap you when she wants to. You feel it.

Old Fat Black Kitty was down the hill at the neighbors pool.

She made eye contact but, refused to obey my calling.

About 45 minutes later she appeared with a one fist sized rat and consumed it.

Do not disturb

🙄

Post Rat Consumption:

After licking herself down and a few minutes of sun bathing,

She signaled, "inside".

She signaled, "feed me".

Ate a tad and off for nap time.

Today, Old Fat Black Kitty caught two lizards and one rotund rat. He is hunting my side hill and not from the neighbors pool and yard below.

Feral Orange Kitty has been absent four days. :( Maybe that is why Old Fat Black Kitty is hunting the side hill now, Feral Orange Kitty turf. O.K. has kicked OFBK ( )0( ) a few times and OFBK gives OK wide clearance with the understanding the back yard is OFBK turf.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a Princess. Knowing full well some peculiarities of her temper, King promised to allow her to marry only the one, who will be able to herd a hundred cats for 3 days, without losing any.

Many knights, wizards, and even shepherds tried to fulfill this requirement, but all were exiled in shame from the castle on the first evening.

Then, after some time, a mud splattered "Niva (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... 080228.jpg)" drove up to the castle. And a middle-aged man in an old suit got out of it.

He herded the cats for the first day. All were purring, content, and most important - still there.

Same repeated for the second day.

On the third day, he lead the herd to the castle, and after counting, all the cats were still there.

- Ok, - said the King, - good job, the princess is yours. But how you managed that?

- You know, Your Highness. Comparing with the programmers in the projects I managed, your cats are fluffy pussies.

(Not mine, I only translated this (http://vitus-wagner.dreamwidth.org/546589.html)).

Feral Orange Kitty, has not been around for two weeks.

He was eating less and seemed well fed from "hill meat".

I hope he did not become "hill meat".

Meditate to Orange Kitty to hang out here again. Thanks.

The water bowl is in the kitchen out of the way at the far end of the sink, I bumped the strainer today and several knives fell to the floor where Rupert was having a nice drink of water.

Talk about having your stomach in your throat.

How I don't know but none of them stuck him as they hit him and the floor, scared the hell out of both of us. He ran to the LR and I followed him and checked him all over for blood, NO blood so I made it up to him with some catnip treats.

Right now he is flat on his back sound asleep about 2 feet from me, he is such a good boy.

This morning, well more like noon, I saw a turkey vulture sweeping unusually low over my back yard lawn and disappearing out of view where my back yard ends in a down hill slope. It was chased off by one crow.

Hours later I looked down at the yard below where Old Fat Black Kitty likes to hang. "Dead meat." About the right size for a gutted cat but the owner told me on the phone it was a piece of racoon. The turkey vulture's target.

I hope feral Orange Kitty moved on the greener pastures. He was eating less food when rat season bloomed. Just like Old Fat Black Kitty. I suspect feral Orange Kitty got harvested by the Coyote.

Possibly Bobcat. Rarely a Mountain Lion. :(

I will maintain hope, feral Orange Kitty just may re-appear one day after his oats are sown.

It has been my experience around here, we are out in the country with woods behind us, that the feral cat lasts about 3 years, then gone.

Something will get them, winter, fox, eagle, big dog, something.

I still look for feral Orange Kitty but, he has gone to more plentiful mouse fields.

I think the coyote has tapped out the area too. No more raccoons raiding my garden.

And I heard a nearby Pug dog got ate. Black Kitty finds an occasional mouse or rat.

Now that the evenings are getting warmer, old fat Black Kitty thinks she is going to hunt later.

Tonight I could not herd her in until after 9 PM. And of course she was at her bowl making noises.

I gave her a roughing as she meow-grunted splayed out on the floor like the Spinx but, not resisting.

Gave her a good talking to also. Teased her a bit favoring Solly Kitty who comes immediately when I demonstrate cat calling, then finally fed her. Now she is done with me.

What of Izzy, little Izzy, the trickster. He gets his attention on schedule. His.

Just viewed this clip. Have you ever imagined a house cat, ok maybe a Maine Coon

taking down a toddling two year old. Repeated with several diff small kids and large cats.

I would have never imagined.
