Wait until Monday. :-\
Responsible homeowners in the foothills should own a goat
to keep the area near their home free of flammable brush.
Today was nice but, not for long.
The Heat Is Coming, The Heat Is Coming.

Re: There's Always The Weather
Monsoon, glorious monsoon season has finally arrived. We have such spectacular skies during the monsoon season that at times you want to applaud. It is less of gray overcast dumping it's load and more of soaring cumulus clouds billowing upwards. Sunsets can be great!

Tornado watches severe thunderstorms warnings in effect. Had a home video of a local retired weatherman shot video of clouds forming a twister but never touched down thank the Lord.

Being a Californian, I've never seen a twister. I hear they are scary and sound like a locomotive when close by.
Re: There's Always The Weather
They're scarier when you're cruising down the highway at nearly 100 mph, trying to outrun a storm front, and one passes right over you. Yes, they do sound like freight trains in the sky, and yes, it's terrifying.
We once had one, no more than a glorified dust devil really, pick up me and the dog when I was about 6 and hurl us several spinning yards across the property. One of my fonder childhood memories.

Re: There's Always The Weather
May Gray became June Gloom and even today there is significant "marine cooling".
Other than a few days of "hot" over these months, it has been pleasantly cool for Moi,
but not the vegetable garden. The Asparagus patch is making another round of
thick spears. Most of the garden is NOT happy although the Pecan tree
does not seem to mind as it sways in the wind, apathetically.
Hot years, Cold years, wet, dry, etc.
the loquat seems immune from it all.
