A California weather bureau could do it better than one way back in D.C.
Similar to pre MediCaid California indigent medical care. True quality with less priciness.
Based on the county with Local medical school referral for high brow needs.
If YOU do listen to the lyrics, translate State's for Southern in your mind.
Lord bless the 10th amendment.
Stop Federal hegemony!
No More Federal's Lies

December 5
Still waiting for El Nino :realpisse
The last two possibilities of rain evaporated and the next one is decreasing from 50% to less than 20%
Oh, they blame a H pressure area off the coast driving the rain north.
Who do you suppose is stealing our rain? Weaponizing Weather anyone?
LIARS !
Disaster stories sell better.
Southern California here and "where is my El Nino? Oh next month they say.
Remember the last El Nino fizzled out.
Too bad no heads roll over bad predictions.
Then we might get the more boring Truth! Boring doesn't "sell".
So let's entertain conspiracies.

Well, the north part of the state, where the vast majority of the reservoirs are, is getting rain. Since LA steals all their water, you should be happy it's raining there.

Snow in the north is "water in the bank".
Not rain.

Today's rain totals are 1/3 of normal for this time of year.
Wow. :realpisse Some El Nino.
Why do they lie?
The air has been dry and bitter cold although the temperature isn't that cold.
The sun light feels warm.
Lettuce has spouted like weeds and some are heads already, although it is harvested by
pinching older leaves leaving the central portion to grow more, lettuce.
The Pecan tree produced sme tasty nuts for its' first year although not that many.
The Autumn asparagus crop was dismal compared to the spring.

It's still early for El Niño to begin, though we are getting close. Up north, we now have had 3.21 inches of rain this year (to December 17th). Last year, a "severe drought year," we had 18.93 inches by the 17th. We're at about 1/6 of severe drought, but still optimistic....

A half an inch of snow fell last night here in Western Pennsylvania and temperature fell to 17 degrees F.
Tonight the temperature will be 16 deg F.
You know what that means --
All the stinkbugs will be dead and they won't try to get inside the house.
I treasure the tiny victories of life.

We didn't have the Asian ladybugs this year, thank ALL! Normally, I have to keep a shop-vac in my bedroom because of them.
We're looking at another warm up, though, with 55F tomorrow.

I started out killing the little black stink bugs with a long pole and a reaching stick I keep around.
That left marks on the walls.
So I took my Dyson vacuum out of the closet and as I always say: "Dyson sucks with the best"
And one each and the damn little stink bugs get sucked into the tank and dead as tiny doornails.
