well im a different case but sex is something i look forward to now the pain is gone. My libido isnt crazy now, i do it when I want to do it, not when some malfunctions gland compulses me to do it.

Now i want companionship more than the sex itself, its just an added bonus we can share something so wonderful now.

Im on HRT, 100mg test cyp weekly and 1500 of HGH daily since i was low on that too.

If you've been using testosterone for as long as your bio states, you won't have much if any noticable difference. So if your doctor wants to remove them, I'd allow him to do it. I use low dose "t" and feel fine, actually better. There are a lot of benefits of being a eunuch, all of these have been discussed on this sight before. You are probably right on the money. I started on testosterone at the age of 19 due to an injury at 14. I'm 50 now. When I was in my early 30's doctors in the US stopped prescribing testosterone for a few years. They gave me HCG instead. I was NEVER able to get my T to an acceptable level with HCG even back then (20 years ago). So now, my testes are probably totally dead. They cause me a lot of pain and right now I'm on sulfa for 4 months to try to root out a stubborn infection in my epididymus. It keeps coming back and the last time it moved to my prostate. I should probably have them removed.

On the topic of Eunuch downsides: I spent the years from 14 to 19 as a Eunuch with T near castrate levels. I experienced almost all of the downsides - significant loss of memory and concentration, anxiety and fear, inability to recover from exercise (I got weaker and weaker), loss of muscle tissue, fat gain, loss of bone density, total loss of energy, trouble sleeping, frequent infections and slow recovery from infections and DEPRESSION. All these effects occured again on the several occasions that I was forced to go off HRT.

What I consider to be the Eunuch benefits: my wife was the benefactor of having sex with a Eunuch. When I was younger I really bugged my wife for sex too much when I was on HRT. She was raising our three kids and she just wanted to cuddle and sleep. When I was forced to go off HRT (because I could not find a doctor who would prescribe) I became much sweeter and more thoughtful and cuddly. When she wanted an orgasm I was able to get an erection and please her (sometimes she just wanted my hand and I was happy to oblige since I didn't really crave penetration very often). I was calm enough to spend a lot of time on foreplay and she really liked this. We cuddled a lot. There were negatives that my wife noted (my feelings got hurt easier, I was fussy about details, fearful, clingy and lazy).

But now my wife has a much stronger and more consistent sex drive and I like being always ready to perform now that I'm on regular HRT. We are also very physically active and both in great shape and this is a great benefit to our relationship.

I probably need to have them removed. Thank you for the encouragement. Mr. T has also been a great supporter and source of information for me.

Dear Doc T,

The symptoms you describe also can be caused by a long-term, chronic, occult infection hiding in your body. Tuberculosis used to cause those kind of symptoms when located someplace besides the lungs. Only 95% of tuberculosis cases occur in the lungs. The other 5% can be anywhere in your body. Have you been tested for tuberculosis? It is simple, just a skin test that tests for tuberculin antibodies.

I don't know what type of mico-organism that you might have that would survive such an onslaught of anti-biotics, but I MUST tell you this.

Unless you are immuno-compromised for some reason you have had this infection ENTIRELY TOO LONG. Whatever practicioner has put you on Sulfa for four months with no success is not one you should continue seeing for medical care, at least not for this problem.

FIND A CHEMOTHERAPIST. The bug that you have needs to be subjected to a culture and sensitivity to ascertain what antibiotic might still kill it and in the mean time you need to get an indwelling Intravenous catheter installed in a subclavian vein and get AT LEAST two weeks of a broad spectrum antibiotic such as flagil administered I.V. in massive doses.

Since this type of therapy is radical it can have serious side effects, initially hospitalization would probably be necessary to monitor you, minimally for 48 hours and probably more like from 72 - 96 hours, to have medical support available in case you developed a reaction to the antibiotic. Anaphylactic shock can kill very quickly, and that rarely happens with antibiotics.

If chronic infections are not dealt with they can result in heart failure due to vegitations (scarring) of heart valves, hearing and/or vision loss, mennigitis, massive organ failures, including but not limited to liver failure or kidney failure and resulting reduced life span and possible early death.

Please get yourself a second opinion and tell the new doctor that a little birdie told you to do it.

BTW, MrT, I had a vasectomy when I was 28 (yikes, that was half a lifetime ago, maybe plix is right after all) so I was definitely unable to procreate. I was certainly male though. Not quite sure what I am now but I really, really like it
