Isn't it always the case that just when you want your camera, you don't have it with you or you've no film etc... It sounds, nevertherless like a nice time tugon and I'm pleased you thought of me.

As I write this the Spanish Cycling Race, The Vuelta is now in Madrid and so I guess that within an hour our so there will be a winner. To the best of my knowledge this is the last major European Cycling Race of the season.

Interestingly there has even been a Tour Of Britain in recent weeks, which has received rather less TV coverage than the estabished races but there were a number of famous Cyclists taking part who had been on some of the races earlier in the summer. The racing section through the Lake District was very beautiful, for the scenery.

Next year's Tour De France will start in London - the race always starts outside France before getting well under way and this will be the second time in recent years that the Tour De France has begun in Britain.

At least some lycra and smooth legs can bring international harmony even when the egos of politicians try and create divison.

As I write the sunlight in Madrid is absolutely brilliant and the speed of the cyclists is amazing. Best stop now and see the finish.
