There is NO urban house in an older neighborhood like yours without mice. How practical are they? You need to ask about threshhhold number of rodents. Certainly you can't have them dancing in the middle of the floor, but one or two in the basement would be hard to get rid of.

No they wont. It is a "common-lowdown" scare tactic. Ask Yourself who in Your area of in your recent times have been charged this way, because of a mouse or two ???
Ask Yourself, how many Big Rats or tiny Mousis are running around the House right now?? Give me a number 1 - 10 - 100 -- etc. How many cats will it take to scare all the Mousis out and migrate to the next town.
Have You starved or beaten Your dear mother ?? make a list on HOW You "mistreated" her. The list will have nothing to show - am I right. You have taken good care of her so what does this tell You ?? - Just a scare tacktic.
Who would be the big guy in the Prosecutors office to handle Your Prosecution of "elder abuse" ?? Ask Yourself or someone, who did or how many cases like this has he "eer" done and how many on this charge did he put in jail???
Child abuse etc is a much more "popular" thng in our "twisted society of legal "shovanists". So start counting. The number is more than likely a BIG ZERO.
So clean up one ROOM with her Bed and Her Things and make it Mouse Proof. Have this fact certified by Priest or Judge or a trusted friend - anyone- on paper and have it notarized..
Also make a little research on the Mouse Culture You want to make war with. Know Your enemy or sign a Peace-Treaty. Mouse only runs trough Kitchen when Your are not there - just any peace treaty is better that a war.. I would think.
Make an observation and find out who was counting mice and his own background in finding moucis. Maybe Your house was his first one. Ask to see reports that he has written where the mouse population was described. Wonder about its accuracy . Was any mouse actually a Rat or a Racoon or some such ??? Is he a Biology expert whose Expert testimony has been used in Court under Oath.
When the friends in our friendloy Government attacked my Fleet, the inspector swore that all my stuff, my library and tools etc was all DEBREE. He got away with the lie.
So set up the defense plan, ask Your mother if she wants to go back home to her cleaned up room, That is all that matters. Make it happen now. n3rf

Let's hope so, but in the USA I no longer would be willing to take such a bet. Almost all levels of government in the USA have gotten way out of control, but then I digress, and don't like to think about bad things.

Well - digressing - not sure how negative it is but getting MOTHER home in a "secure room" of her own seems to be the good news - regardless of threats etc before she gets de-classified further.
I still have no clue of the number and the types of the "mice" or the "rats of any. I got to the Pet shop and they sell a number of nice little mousis and stuff they can use to play and so forth. Maybe all Mac needs is a Cage for the l little critters so he can keep them as House Pets. I still like the "Ultra Low Cost" approach regardless for the push for the Opposite/ Love Johan-in-Washington, N3RF, Chm SRL and LSRF

This is the most appalling tread I have ever read. You would think that the establishment would be offering assistance instead of pointing the finger like it is all your fault and threatening goal of all things. I gather from other treads that youre not a young man yourself? So what kind of support system do you have?
I wish I could drive around to your place with maybe a mop and a bucket (& maybe a saw, a hammer and some nails) and help you out with some of the chores, but Im 10,000 miles away.
I know people here in my home town that live in far worst circumstances than you describe and the authorities dont want to know about it.
Sounds like to me that you have the right plan of action.
Good luck and my prayers for you and Mum.

As the former chairman of my city's Zoning and Land Use Committee and elected to the Planning Council, I can't help but wonder why they are trying to force you out of your home, for that is what it seems to me that they are doing. Have you pissed someone off? Is the neighborhood being "gentryfied"? Is this a political ploy to solve "urban problems" that only exist at election time? It doesn't seem that the interests of your mother or you are being protected very well. Call the most politically active local TV station you can find, emphasize your personal anguish and the urgent time frame. You may get results. --FLO--

Yes, I have sent a copy the the Boss at the White House to see what he can come up with. He has the means to check the real Rats out. You got friends in high places. Just get her home now and stopp listening to the wrong ideas. If they "put You in Jail" they have to use BIG CHAINS and a BIG TOW TRUCK , right ?? Johan N3RF

Hmmm,
More than likely one of the cops was !BOINKING! the social services lady, or probably wants to...
...either that or they had to get up from coffee and doughnuts to take the call...
This is a common problem with not having a lot of money...
Mackie, keep us in the loop, O.K.? Don't go selling C-Cells by the Sea Shore just to rainse funds...

Is BOINKING something lawmen are supposed to do ??
Write a letter to the Boss and tell them Johan told You to do it, and I think the Address is 1600 Pa Avenue, Washington,DC 20044 (not sure what Zip he has).
Somebody will LISTEN , and put a copy on it here as well, because we all do Listen and Ponder and Ponder.
Get one Room "certified" clean and bring Your Mother home and she will love it and so will You and we as well. If any Rat show up , keep the door locked.
