Re: I need some advice
Fixet, well done. You have done all the hard work in seeing the Doctor and also doing this questionnaire and seeing the Psychologist shortly. Once they see and understand the sincerity of your belief here, they will help you. I feel quite sure about that and don't think about having to wait months. I'm sure the time frame will be much much shorter than that. I think your Doctor will be helping you within 6 weeks absolutely maximum, although I obviously don't know that 100%, but it is how I feel. You probably know already what the costs are for a Dutch prescription for a student. Again I don't know but I imagine that your medical system is probably like the French with a mixture of state and private costs. As a student you may be exempt from any charges but even if you are not you will pay much less than using the net. Also you won't have any concerns about anyone else being aware of your medication (arriving by post would not be very private). Let me guess and you can tell me if I am correct - would a full price prescription from your Doctor be about 10 maximum? Let me guess again maybe you qualify for a free prescription? The question is unimportant because the main concern is that you have the support and advice of your
Doctor and she will be helping you answer your questions. By taking any drugs
there are side-effects that need monitoring and she will be on hand. Well done for your common sense; you are close to an answer now, honestly:)

Re: I need some advice
We dont have a special student healthcare system. As for the costs, I dont know. It could be free, it could be a small % of the costs it could be none. Begine this year they changed the health system, because it was to expensive. So I keep in mind I have to pay full costs ( I already pay 92 euro's a month for my healthcare

Hi,
Fixet
Hmm,
I think that you should get a girlfriend, move away from your parents and see if you cannot enjoy sex.
Then, if you don't like it, try the chemicals.
Natural is always the best. The sexual function is good for something besides reproduction...

I am considering chemical castration, how sooner how better.
But I dont know what to get, Androcur or Spironolactone.
I want to achieve low testosterone, without feminization. Lets say to get a testosterone level of a pre puberty.
But there is 1 small problem, I dont have much money, as I still study, so Spironolactone looks money wise a good option.
How important is it to see a doctor? As I will feel very uncomfortable to see a doctor, ask talk about my problem I dont think he will take me serious. So I am afraid to go, but I dont want to hurt my health doing this.
When I am on chemical castration, I will change, as I still live with my parents, should I say something? They dont know anything about my situation. But ill assume they will see changes in me.

Sometimes its a bit more complex A-1. I am asexual so getting a "girlfriend" and hit the road wouldnt work for, also it would be unfair to the "girlfriend"

Oh, O.K., but other people are, too. You never know what you might find. Could be a boyfriend if that is the way that you are wired.

Re: I need some advice
The thread title may have been "I Need Some Advice" but Fixet has contributed enough both to this thread and others to express clearly that he is Asexual.
Consequently, suggestions about either girlfriends or boyfriends will not be welcomed by him. Some people aren't "wired" to feel sexual desire for either sex or for either of the sexes.
Fixet I know of a website which is devoted to Asexuality. Sadly I've not visited it for a while and can't remember my log in there. The address is :
www.asexuality.org
Taken together with the Eunuch Archive, the Asexuality site is very good
and comes recommended.

Re: I need some advice
Here is a little update.
Today I got my results of my blood test. I did a liver test and a testosterone check.
When I did my test I was 18 days on androcur 100 mg a day
My liver is good and my T levels are 3.9 Normal levels for a male are between 10-35.
So I can say the androcur works on me. And I guess my T levels are even lower now because Im 30 days on androcur now.
I have not encountered problems, depression etc. I do seem to have a little gynecomastia.

Re: I need some advice
Can you please indicate what percentage decline in "T" level you had after the Androcur. I don't know what the 3.9 means.

Re: I need some advice
I dont understand your question. My T level is 3.9 I dont have a other number, and I havent tested my T levels before I was using androcur. The normal range for a male is between the 10 and 35 T level was I told who tested me. So my T levels are more then half lower then the normal "low range" levels.smoothie36 (imported) wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2006 9:09 am Can you please indicate what percentage decline in "T" level you had after the Androcur. Re: I need some advice
Thanks for the reply. Those numbers are for different parameters than I am familiar with. My nurse said male range is about 250 to 700, but I dont know the terms. Being well below normal is the operative result, and you are there.
