I don't know much about the dosage of Depo-Provera, but I do know about Estradiol injections. I use 2 needles per injection, 1 to withdrawal the medication and 1 to inject. This does 2 things, it insures you have a sharp needle for injection, and it helps prevent contamination from the vial. A sharp needle causes less discomfort. Syringes and needles are not all that expensive. I bought a 4 year supply (bi-weekly injections using 2 needles every time) for about $40.

The Estradiol is susspended in oil, so when you withdraw it from the vial there are going to be very, very tiny bubbles in it. According to my doctor this will not cause any harm. It's the large bubbles you should be concerned about. Holding the needle up and tapping it a few times should asperate the bubbles.

I use a 2cc syringe and 1 1/2" by 21ga needles for intramuscular delivery. When drawing the medication into the syringe, always draw a little more past the line indicated. This is because once the air is removed the syringe should then contain the proper amout of medicine.

Depo-Provera should come as 150mg/ml, which means 1cc = 1 dose. 1ml = 1cc. I believe it also comes as preloaded syringes. Others here may have more information on the types/dosage of this. Typical dose for chemical castration is 150mg every 4 weeks.

I don't know what I or anyone else can tell you. If you live in a state where syringes are legal why not buy a few & practice filling then with water? You can then practice injecting it into an orange. Now DP is, once again, sold in pre-filled syringes which you should find much easier. Just follow Christina's advice for preparation.
