Nice website Slammr! Did someone help you? In any case I am happy to see that you were able to get a site up. I was terribly worried about hurting your feelings even though it had nothing to do with you or what you had posted, really.
One thing, I whipped to gether a quick script for your "Slammr" stories link (other authors and members are welcome to use it as well):

Bboy: You didn't hurt my feelings at all. I understood your point. If everyone had done what I had, it could have gotten out of hand. I'm glad it happened as it did, because it got me off my butt as far as buiding a site is concerned. I'm rather excited about it, actually. I've done it all myself-so far-with the aid of Geocities building tools, of course. It's a work in progress. Thanks for the link to my stories here. It's much better than the one I had.
Just curious-has this thread set a record for the number of views?

I didn't mention it above, but if others want to use that script just replace the part after "show=" to be the name under which your stories are submitted.

For those who are interested, I have included a link on my site which will take you to the "Terry" story as I am writing it. Go to the Terry page, choose "go to story," then choose "preview." Each day that I write, I will add to the preview. It is, however, a work in progress and may differ from whatever is posted as the next part. The link to the site can be found below my signature. The start of Terry, part 9, can be found there.

I've got a new website with my own domain name. Although it's still under construction, I've moved everything there. You can link there from my old website or through the following link:

For those who have written me asking if I was going to continue the "Terry" story, I have completed chapter 10 and submitted it to the archive. It also appears on my Website.

Several people have written asking me whether or not I intended to continue this story. I do intend to finish it, but won't post here on the archive until I have the entire story completed, since I feel guilty about taking so long-and can't promise at this time when it will be completed, but, if you want to see the next chapter, Terry - part 11, you'll find it at the following:

I've posted Chapter 12 of "Terry" on the following site. Once I complete the story, I'll post it on the archive, but for those who don't wish to wait:

Terry - part 13 is posted. After over a year, it looks like this story will be finished. Although I'm not yet certain, I would suspect that we're within a few chapters of the end. Since they're coming along well, and I find myself wanting to write this story once again, I'll start posting them here as well. In the meantime, you can find Chapter 13 in the usual place:

This is a powerful (and profoundly disturbing) story. Slammr is providing an incredible view of our "criminal justice" system. He's shared with me some of his resource material (with all personal identifying information removed). If anything, his story is LESS brutal than the reality that some of these young men have to face.
This is a story that really needs to be rewritten for mainstream publication. It would take a bit of work, but Slammr tells the tale so well that he might actually make a difference.
Read this one! Pass it on to anyone you know who will also read it.

From what I've read, VERY VERY little rewriting.
The novel, and later movie, SLEEPERS, by Lorenzo Carcaterra, is about 12 year old boys in prison. I was stunned by that novel and its graphic nature, and even the watered down film version. TERRY needs very little to go mainstream. It is every bit as good, and powerful, as SLEEPERS.
And I think it should.
