Re: Scrotal Surgery in February
Sorry to hear about the problem and hope you get everything under control quickly. I am happy that Dr. Fara would not do my castration unless I could wait at least three days before making the 7-hour drive home. I am trying to work out how to reschedule my surgery with at least three days stay in the local hotel before trying to return home. As I understood it you were getting a scrotal reduction and had already had your castration. If I had both at the same time it would probably mean more that could go wrong.

Re: Scrotal Surgery in February
Hi all! I am well on the road to recovery. Yesterday, the drain was removed from my crotch (they’d installed it during the second unplanned emergency surgery) and the hole from it should close up well over the next while. The area about my crotch is sore and the skin is raw from where it stretched when the hemorrhaging happened but it is starting to recover. There is a mass in the crotch which is a hematoma and should dissolve over the next month or so. The remaining scrotum skin should flatten as the hematoma disappears. I cannot wait to see how things look when it is all healed. I’ll keep you all updated.

will post an update after a couple of days. My wife is a bit more nervous about it than me. Wish me luck.

Re: Scrotal Surgery in February
Hello All,
I'm home safe and sound. The surgery went well, I have some swelling and bruising but other than that I can manage the little pain I have with Tylenol. Feels different (in a good way) with nothing down there below my penis. I went for both castration and scrotal removal. Dr. Movagharnia said doing both will add more time to the recovery but would avoid extra expense versus a second procedure later. Doc said use ice packs for the swelling and Arnica Montana for the bruising. Sometimes it is hard to believe I actually got it done. I can't wait to get past the recovery and try it out.
You guys have been a HUGE help in researching this and by the way I would recommend Dr. Movagharnia. He isn't the cheapest, but he is very good.

Littledick,
Was it you that had the incision open up at about the post 6 week mark? If so do you know what caused it to open? I would like to know so I can avoid whatever it was. Thanks!
