Has anyone heard anything from Sean Thomas? I read his blog post after his stroke, but haven't seen anything from him since. I hope he is still on the road to recovery.

Yes, it has been a long time, but he sounded pretty upbeat when he posted about his stroke. I thought he was in direct contact with some on here. Was just wondering if anyone has an update. I hope he is doing well.

Things like this always concern me when someone goes offline for a long time. This happened with a good friend and prolific author, Androboy some years ago. We knew he had health issues, and we just have to assume he passed away.

I do hope this is NOT the case with Sean.

That is always the problem with "cyber friends." We form attachments to like minded people, but very rarely know them. I do hope he is recovering. The human psyche does not like no closure.

I know at least some of the mods have access to our real email addresses, or at least the ones used when we registered... Any possibility in a case where a 'regular' user goes offline to send an "Are you OK" message?

Well I know that when I signed up I had to give my email address in order to get the validation message needed to make the account active... Obviously the address could change later, but many people keep the same address for years... (It is so hard to update it w/ all the spammers....) If it's saved anywhere after activating the account, seems like it would be possible for an admin to send a message like

"Your friends miss you and are concerned about whether you are OK. If you don't want to post, reply to this message and I will let folks know you are alright"

With your email registered here, anyone can send you an email through the EA server, unless you have that turned off in your preferences.
