So am I trying to get mine removed surgically. It amazes me that doctors are so concerned about wanting to save a flap of skin!

For me this would be a tough decision.

No no no no no. The real decision maker is if we enjoy playing with it. I know for a fact that Paolo loves to play steel tipped darts with scrotums (well, that is until he decides it is time for practice with the throwing knives).

Mmm, yes, I know the drastic method I took wasnt ideal or pleasant. There was no way that the urologists were going to remove mine. Even when I was in surgery to have the prosthetics removed. He simply changed his mind, no reason except ' it wasnt necessary to remove your scrotum'. It was on the fkn list and was fully funded!! He just referred me to a pain specialist. Wouldnt recommend DIY, but it did work. Took a wee bit of explaining. The doctor didnt seem to notice that it wasnt there, just concerned to close the wound. Told friends and family that I had developed an infection from where the prosthetics had been taken out. Although I have quite a big ( 4-5 inch) scar, I love the result! Good luck to you all

My balls were removed through scrotum. I did not know what to expect.

I never gave any thought about having scrotum removed or about having prosthetic balls implanted.

Months after surgery my scrotum is still sore.

I apply Aspercreme roll on Lidocane for relief.

While having it removed would probably solve the soreness problem I kind of like feeling the emptiness.

Plus I do not want to through any more surgery.

So I shall not try to fix it for fear of making things worse.

Just curious, but what does your partner think? It sounds to me like he's really into your empty scrotum.

I see that some of you had approached your urologist or family physician about having the empty scrotum removed. My experience: Three years after my balls were removed, I asked my urologist for a referral to a plastic surgeon so I could get it removed. His comment was "I can remove it for you". He did. Does money talk?

Yes, my urologist did not bat an eyelash in agreeing to remove my empty scrotum

I simply said it was uncomfortable and we actually scheduled an appointment to have it done. However, when his office called to say I'd need to cough up over six grand, as insurance would not cover such a surgery, I sought out a plastic surgeon who removed the sack for a helluva lot less money and with probably a lot more skill.

Now that the site is fully healed it's definitely a lot more comfortable, aesthetically more appealing than the shriveled sack and it feels so erotic having the area massaged during foreplay.

Oh, and as an added bonus it makes my erect penis not only look, but feel bigger and there is nothing to get in the way when I am getting anal !

I'm really pleased you guys were able to get yours done with minimum fuss. Its a nightmare down here! Getting a second opinion was just a joke. Urologist #2 repeated virtually word for word, what uro #1 had said. But started the conversation with 'we wont be removing it'. I guess 'cronyism' describes it

My urologist just submitted the process through my insurances and they paid for it, no problem.

Would never consider doing it myself, but I surely understand the frustration with a doctor not wanting to remove my scrotum.

I recently had an appointment with a plastic surgeon to explore him removing my scrotum.

Since my left cord is stuck to the scrotum because of hydrocele residual, the doctor would only consider removing the hydrocele residual and freeing the cord to go up in the abdomen naturally as did the right cord following my castration.

Beyond the usual reason that a doctor will not remove healthy tissue, including skin of a scrotum without nuts, I believe his position to do surgery without the scrotum removal was that my health insurance will cover the surgery as medically necessary to remove the hydrocele residual and free the cord, despite my willingness to pay for the surgery to totally remove my scrotum.

Next week I will have the hydrocele residual and cord freeing surgery, and next year endeavor to find a doctor who will actually remove my empty scrotum.
