I call people what they want to be called.
IF they present male and want to be called male, then that's what I say.
I know several people who identify as non-gender and have various different appellations and those are what I use.
I haven't in a long time called anyone "eunuch" meaning ball-less or spineless or lacking moral fortitude. "Eunuch" top me refers to someone who has lost their testicles (meaning they started out as male). Most men I know who have lost their testicles or hormones due to prostate or testicular cancer and want to be called male is fine with me.
There a couple guys who like to brag about it and want to be called eunuch or "it" or "mule" and I do that. It's their ego and gender identification. They want to be aggressive and "in your face" about things.
I know a couple really butch lesbians who like being called by male names and that's fine with me.
I'm easy going and polite and think that what the person across from me wants is what they want, and It's not my place to insist they conform to my thoughts or ideas.
More pertinent to this discussion is that if a person identifies themselves as "male" or "female" or "non-binary" or any of the variations then that's their choice and it's not my place to pigeon-hole them... Life is not simple, gender should not be defined by "simplicity" and convenience.

Just so.
It is my aim to encounter all who come to me in the world, and be civil, accommodating and hopefully instructed sometimes.
It seems the height of conceit to tell the folks -even the good , the bad, the ugly- that all must conform to some private idea of normality. It's plainly between ludicrous and nonsense.
Do I have more to learn? Sure, and as I enjoy the eunuch life, with all its (mostly beneficial) effects, I still have much to take on board from every flavor of sexuality, and also the ability to enjoy the company of folks who present differently on different occasions.
This is truly an exciting, multidimensional and changing zoo! -And we are the better for it.

How do you identify your gender? Using myself as an example, I am nullified, but if I gender identify myself I would say male.
For those of you who either completed your transition from intact male to something else, or desire to go from intact to something else, how do you identify your gender? Male, Eunuch, Penectomized, nullo, female, something else?
I am surgically castrated for five years. I present myself as a man but see myself as as being a sexually-adjusted male.

Been castrated for 3.5 years at this point. I present as male, but I identify myself as a eunuch. Have even started to use the term Eu. instead of Mr. on my postage for letters and Christmas cards.

To the public I am no different than I was when I had testicles - male. To my wife I am male. To my family doctor and urologist I am simply a castrated male. I just identify myself as "me". Sorry this makes no contribution to the psychological community's desire to delude us with their "professional" understanding of human nature.

I thank you for your input, but for the purposes of this thread, I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for. I generally agree with your assessment for people in general (call them as they wish to be called), but I'm trying to narrow down the most common way people who are either seriously considering this surgery/change to their body, or already have, consider their current gender label or identity.

Yours is one of the better explanations I've seen, including those I've offered regarding how I see myself. Thanks.

I present as male but definitely consider myself as Eunuch and am not ashamed for people or doctors to know.

Wow, the topics one can find in these wonderful journals. I am so glad that more than 20 years after becoming nullo I stumbled across this forum.
And some great topics come up and we get to see so many different opinions presented on each topic.
Personally I am not altogether sure of the wordage seen. As we look in all of the dictionaries we find different concepts than those used in normal discussion.
For example if we look up the word sex we find it to be both an action and a description if we just use the basics. Hopefully we all enjoy the action from time
to time. Especially as the action is little more than physical manipulation to achieve some goal. Whether that goal is satisfaction, pregnancy or dominance makes
little difference, it is still an action to achieve a goal. The word gender on the other hand is never found to be an action or a description but virtually always described
as a feeling. Yes, there are some who confuse the word gender with the word sex. AS to the medical community, they are equally confused as to the correct use
of terminology in this arena. To their way of seeing things it comes down to the biological science. If there exists internal male or female organs that is what they are
working with. They are unable to change our DNA as it is the core building blocks of our body. Just because a person does not want to be whatever sex they came from
the birth canal as does not mean the basic DNA of the body can be physically altered. We can remove external and even internal male organs at will. That will not change
our core DNA. We can remove female organs as well which will also not change the DNA. We can use chemicals to alter the way our body appears to function or modify it's
function chemically. THis still does not change the DNA of our body. We are what we came out of the birth canal as.
I removed my external male genitals because I felt I did not want them. That did not change the physical DNA structure of my body. Removing some of those organs altered
the chemistry within my body and I further altered the chemistry within my body by introducing additional chemicals. But that action did not alter my DNA. Yes, it altered my
appearance over time as did the way I cover the body. These are the physical and not the psychological. Psychological is another arena all together and there are those that claim
it to be a chemical result. I say not. Yes, we can alter the psychology of ourselves with the introduction of chemicals. However as with chemically altering our hormone levels, once
we stop the chemical input and it begins to clear the body the changes become diminished.
So to me at least, I am and have always been the same person. While I may well have altered my physical body by removal or amputation of body parts I am still the same person
I have always been. Since gender is a feeling and sex is a physical it does become necessary to modify how the medical community approaches the physical side of all this. Not the
psychological side as that is often a completely different thing not much different than say witchcraft. I know, I just lost a bunch of readers with that one. But then again, it is my viewpoint
and not to be forced upon anybody else.
But modification of the way the medical community approaches the sex side becomes needed. As a eunuch or even a person completely nullified produces or does not produce hormones in
the way others of the same sex do there needs to be some general guidance for young or undereducated medical personnel to go to in seeking how to treat patients. I personally do not desire
to be treated as the intact male since there are differences in our physique and we have different medical requirements. I also do not want to be treated as a female and sent to see a gynecologist
in order to have medication prescribed. I am not a female and have no vagina to be insulted with. Nor should I be insulted for a lack of testicles or penis. Lack of those presents a different need of medication and needs to be addressed as such. I answer to however folks call me. If they call me miss, mr, mrs, it, he, she or whatever. If they refer to me I respond. I am me!
