In my two surgical operations to remove my nuts, I had a well known local urologist do the surgeries, and after each operation it took 4 to 5 weeks for the hematoma and swelling to disappear, and in 3 to 4 months there was barely any sign of the abdominal incisions as he used medical glue to close the incision.

It seems to me, younger patients tolerate orchiectomy much better than older ones. Healing times are faster. But thats a generally about any surgery. Hematoma formation depends on surgery style too. How much small bleeders was left uncoagulated. Or how much small bleeders were created. That depends on personal anatomy again. Some balls are more difficult to extract from surrounding tissue than others. And of course, it is not possible to stop all tiny bleeders. Sometimes, instead of closing all tiny bleeders, a hole is left in the scrotum for few days. That method certainly creates hematoma.

I would recommend others consider Dr. Harold Reed first. He is highly recommended and far more skillful than Dr. A http://srsmiami.com/transgender-orchiec ... eed-miami/

Waited 20+ yrs for that moment, could not refrain from sharing :)

After a bit of thinking, I wanted folks to understand clearly that I wasn't knocking Dr. A for a through the scrotum castration. His results are good on that, I've seen them in person. What I am concerned about is the amount of scarring he gets when he removes any of the external flesh (penis scrotum). His results leave horrible scarring. And of the three nullos i know of who went to him for their surgeries, only one has what I consider a good visual result, and another is the one having the problems with urethral stricture (healing over of the new urethral opening, requiring the installation of a suprapubic catheter).

So if you're just wanting to get your balls popped out, I could still recommend Dr. A, just don't use his services to remove your dick or scrotum.

Hi guys, I admit that if I had been given a realistic alternative choice, I would probably have taken another surgeon. The urologists I met for follow-up back in France were horrified by the swelling and hematoma - but when I asked whether they would have agreed to do the job themselves, they confessed they would have refused. So that sums it up : A. was the only one that I knew about who agreed to do it. It still hurts, but less, and the hematoma have almost disappeared. I have been told swellings would take another month to go.

I have exchanged emails with Dr. Reed. Seems a very down to earth and pleasant chap. He advised against orchiectomy and go for something reversible. He said he would require a psychiatrist letter to have a consultation. I asked if i was already castrated would he perform a scrotul removal without a letter. He said he would need a letter from a psychiatrist for any surgical ablation of male genitalia.
