Kristoff beat me to it. I would be happy to send to you (and to anyone else who is interested) information that would help a therapist to understand Male-to-Eunuch. A full list of the publications that I have available to send is at:
http://forums.eunuch.org/showthread.php ... New-Survey
Some of these are aimed specifically at therapists. You will probably also want to look at the Standards of Care, version 7 of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. It's posted at the WPATH website (www.wpath.org) and is a free download. Your therapist ought to be familiar with it, but it's best if you are too.
For anyone in the U.S. who already has a therapist (or who is actively seeking one), it might be useful to ask if they will be attending the February conference of the United States Professional Association for Transgender Health that will be held at UCLA. I will be giving an invited presentation on Male-to-Eunuch and would be happy to speak with any therapist who will be attending.
Both the articles and the recommendations that we make to therapists are based on the first two surveys that were posted here on the Eunuch Archive. It is the members here who are driving the recommendations. We are now conducting a third survey to add to the information that we can present to therapists. I have been asked for input specifically on Male-to-Eunuch for the next version of the WPATH Standards of Care. You can help to direct that input by your answers to the survey.
The current survey is to fill in some holes that we discovered in our analysis of the previous survey. There are questions that we didn't think to even ask until they were brought up by those completing the last survey when we asked, "Is there anything that you think we should have asked, but didn't?" We've asked the same question again this time, though we haven't begun to look at or analyze any of the responses yet, so we don't know what we missed this time around.
If you haven't completed the survey yet, please do so. Our goal is to help the entire community, from those here for the fantasy of the fiction archive to those seeking castration, to those who have completed their journey. Please let others know about the survey as well. The more people we have complete it the stronger the recommendations that we will be able to make.
