Spending the day doing nothing and the bleeding has stopped.
IFN: Yes I'm taking the pain meds as needed, anywhere from 6 to 8 hrs.

Beware of constipation. It can be very painful.

Yes, the pain meds do cause constipation. I've been staying ahead of it with Colace and Fleet. I took pain meds last night around 8PM and again this AM around 5. The next time I feel the need for pain meds I'm going to try Tylenol. You're right, constipation is uncomfortable so I'd like to get off the Hydrocod/aceta. (That's what the label reads.)
I still get a few drops of blood now and then but certainly nothing to worry about. What's left of my scrotum is still swollen but not painful unless I pull on the stitches just moving around. The only pain I have is in my pelvis where the cords were cut. It feels just like a pulled muscle and it's still fairly sore.
It's been more than 36 hours since the surgery so I can shower now. That will feel good.
I talked to my eunuch mentor yesterday. We discussed bone density and calcium supplements. I began taking 600mg tablets this AM and the plan is 2 tablets a day, one in the AM, one in the PM.
Our friend, Monkey 50's castration is this morning with Dr. Arnkoff. He could be in surgery right now. Best of luck to him.

Yes, I do feel like it is a unique fraternity and I'm proud to be part of it. I can no longer be viewed as a curious wannabe, lurker or whatever. I am now an official eunuch.
That said, I feel this is as far as I want to go. I've always been comfortable with my sexuality and preferences which changed as life went on. I always liked being a man and still want to be a man. I feel very content and really like where I'm at right now.

Congrats and welcome, brother! Curious about your scrotectomy -- was it big before? So your doctor suggested it? Did you end up with a big incision? Mine cut the cords where right where they met the nuts, so there was much swelling at the end of the cords in the middle of my sac. You said your incision was high? Mine made a small incision over the front of each nut to remove them, and the swelling was right at the incision points.

NVR I wanted to thank you for thinking of me and mentioning me in your posts. Sounds like you're healing up well, I'm definitely on the same trajectory in terms of pain/discomfort. Not a walk in the park exactly, but it's manageable.
I think doing the scrotal reduction all in one pass is good news for you, despite it being a little uncommon. Certainly if you've not had complications at this point, it was the right move for you. I'll definitely do mine later but it's hard to get pumped up about another surgery this exact minute.
Anyway, congratulations and thanks to you for your support! Keep the updates coming!

We discussed bone density and calcium supplements
My specialist told me that a person gets enough calcium in the food one eats. She told me to stop taking the supplements and just take 2000iu of D3, which increases the absorption rate of the natural calcium. You can get calcification of the blood that could lead to heart disease if there's too much calcium in your blood.
