Don't be nervous, look forward to the new you after surgery. All I felt when I was scheduled was excitement, I could not wait to get it done and now that the surgery is 18 months behind me, I am happy as Larry and I don't miss my testicles at all, in fact I am thankful every day that they are no longer with me. My castration was a very positive experience and I am very happy that it was done.
This is similar to my experience. When my urologist told me she would remove them, I still was trying to explain my degree of pain to her. It happened so quickly that it took me a second or two to realize what she had just said. I was elated and two weeks later they were gone! I have never looked backed nor regretted my decision since. I am much better off without them. I feel great. The pain is gone and I am in control of my sexuality.

Pre-Op consultation with Urologist was scheduled this afternoon for October 6th.
Getting VERY nervous!
Bigdude, how's it going? Are you still on schedule for tomorrow? Be sure and let us all know what happens. Good luck!

Just got rescheduled to October 21st. I didn't know I was supposed to show up 20 minutes early to fill out a whole bunch of paperwork + fill out all of the paperwork that was supposed to be sent to my house which I never received. I asked the receptionist to please have someone resend the paperwork to my house. I also put it in my Google Calendar to show up a HALF hour early next time "Justin Case!"
I might also add that I've been playing "20 Questions" with my wonderful wife. I've been asking questions that keep going deeper & deeper to get more exacting answers from my wife as to her thoughts, her observations, her feelings, and anything else she has seen or felt since I've went on Depo-Provera & the same on proceeding with surgery. Up to this point everything she has told me is that she believes that a double orchiectomy is by far the best decision.

Well, tomorrow I go see my Urologist. This time I've got everything in line so there won't be any glitches in getting in to see him.
Now the interesting development. Looks like my PCP & my Cardiologist want me off of Depo-Provera ASAP due to HYPO-Tension! NOT Hyper-Tension, but Hypo-Tension. Apparently since I've lost about 285 pounds or so since my Gastric Bypass Surgery about three years ago I'm now having to deal with LOW BLOOD PRESSURE! Apparently I've got perfect Blood Pressure for a very fit & active 13 year old! Just one problem with that, I'm in my early 50's! OOPS! FWIW, my BP at rest during the day has been running around 104/65 & I think the HIGHEST we've seen it in the past year, and this was after going like a Mad Dog, was only about 120/71! At night a few months ago when I was in the hospital dealing with some other issues, the nurses came in & woke me up because I dropped to around 68/45! Not Good!
Anyway, my appointment is just after lunchtime tomorrow. I'll try to give an update the first chance I get.

You lost 285 pounds?! That's incredible even with the bypass surgery. Congratulations and best of luck at your appointment tomorrow.
