Now this is REAL Christmas Spirit

(NOT!)

Actually, it is fowl -- turkey or chicken, to be precise -- stuffed with cooked octopus tentacles and garnished with crab legs and bacon. Although the elements were cooked separately before arranging…

The picture will give your stomach nightmares, honest, I wouldn't lie about that…

It looks like THE THING in one of its early stages in the John Carpenter movie…

I tried doing a duck once; fresh as could be, too (killed that day by our farmer neighbor).

We had no internet at the time (this is 12 years ago), and I thought, heck, a bird is a bird. Call someone to ask for suggestions? Nope! I did it the same as I would a chicken.

Man, I couldn't SAW through that meat. Toughest bird ever! I still don't know what I did wrong, but when I did hack/slice/saw a piece off, I couldn't even chew it into submission.

Gave small pieces to my pit bull, Kale, who also chewed and chewed before swallowing.

So yeah... don't be shy about asking how to cook it :)

It might have just been an old bird. Chickens are only tender when they are young. When they are old, you have to stew them.
