First, thanks for all your concern. No need to worry, my comments are very real. My wife's therapist is very experienced in this sort of situation, and she has been a huge help. Today we went to the clinic for my second shot of depo. The first shot seems to be really "kicking in" as I haven't been getting any erections in the morning, or during the day, nor have I felt the urge to masterbate. My package seems the same, but my balls seem to ache a little and seem a little higher up towards my body. It is kinda strange not getting erections all the time or even feeling the urge to masterbate. I am not sure I want this permanently but we have been advised to stick with this for at least six months so we can make the right decision. I am told the psychological need for sex will fade once the equipment is properly shut down.
I've used DP on a few occasions (and Farlutal on two). If you look back through my postings you'll see (in common with many others' experience) that the effect is nothing like as immediate as that. It takes weeks for the effects to really kick in. (If you're having fewer erections now it could be a psychological effect rather than the drug itself doing it.)

My wife has been seeing a therapist about our marraige and some other issues. She brought up the idea of chemical castration with her yesterday, and to my surprise she is being very supportive. She told my wife she has several clients on chemical castration, mostly for sex addiction. She told my wife if I complain of sex addiction there is even a chance our insurance will pay for the depo provera. Sounds like it will take about three months for the full effect and for me to stop getting erections. Well anyways I have an appointment to see her monday as I am eager to get this started. I also like the idea of having someone supervise this. She reccomends taking the shots for one year and seeing how it goes.
Your wife needs to change therapists and report this quack to the authorities. No reputable therapist would prescribe for a patient she or he hasn't treated.

Is it just me. but whenever I see those words, I hear them in my head as spoken by Elmer Fudd.
