No, naked around a bonbon fire
I love the smell of burning chocolates in the morning...

I haven't heard THE POINTER SISTERS in a few years.
They rock the house when they get going.
Thanks

No chance
of mourning an event we all got so hyped about or hyped at about.
Or cheering the new era or confirming the day is most similar to the day before.
Such vibrant potential, lost.

Just to be safe, shouldn't you close it on the 20th, in the event that the world is not here on the 21st and you are unable to close this thread?

Re: Anything YOU Wish to Share Before . . .
I don't think the world will end then.
But if it did, I'd like to say thanks to everyone for a fun, and sometimes wild, ride through life... Even those I disagree with.
Mayan Calendar is based entirely on positions of celestial objects, such as the planet Venus and certain stars. The Dec 21, 2012 date came from figuring out when these celestial objects would be in the locations listed at the end of the Mayan Calendar.
The real question is what time of day does the Mayan Calendar actually end, and at that moment, on which side of the International Date Line will it be the 21st?
If something is going to happen, I would not be surprised to see it on either the 20th, 21st, or 22nd. I'm taking both days (thu 20, fri 21) off from work just in case. And if nothing happens, well, I got a couple extra days for all that last-minute Christmas Shopping, and no regrets...

Re: Anything YOU Wish to Share Before . . .
My question is did the Mayans celebrate Groundhog Day. If they didn't, what was wrong with their calendars or with them?
Seriously, many people make too much of the arbitrary divisions of calendar time, forgetting they're not natural, but human contrivances. In nature, there's no such thing as a minute or an hour. Those are human cultural creations which could be revised in a moment.
