Devi I agree. Several in the gay community are taken to task for using the term "tranny" as they should be. Many of us hate terms that are meant to pigeonhole us with certain stereotypes. Let us not use terms against others that create the same negative impression that we ouselves would abhor.
True feminists aren't feminazis. Unfortunately most self-termed "feminists" today ARE feminazis. Just try being in my shoes, you'd change your tune quick. While I disagree with Devi that compassion is a pre-requisite of womanity(should be a pre-requisite of humanity), it does mean that by her logic all those "feminists" who've been doing nothing but making my life miserable are less woman than I am.
Yes, TRUE feminists probably did bring about that change in the FBI, but then again I am also sure there were many who simply saw it not as an issue of feminism, but one of justice, and worked just as hard to help bring about the change. So I say, thank you to EVERYONE who worked hard to bring the FBI up to date, feminist or not.
