Why would they cover it up? He was already on the outs with the authorities, so tell me to what purpose would the government cover this up?
You know Moi, sometimes shit happens.

Sounds like a Warren Commission cover-up all over again.
What was the diversion of attention? The cherry of his joint falling on his lap?
I know the truth because I read it in the Enquirer.
Like lots of "the rich and famous" Johnny probably was overwhelmed by himself as to have habits of special rules and belief in his immortality. He paid for it.

OH!, No you Don't!!!
...hey moi! ...maybe he saw a flying saucer or was shot down by an alien, you know, like those d

So was he partying NAKED again?
...then the government cover-up would be to protect the reputation of Nancy Pelosi?
...may as well. The Republicans have tried to lay everything else on her...

It appears that John Denver was straight and under no alcohol or substance prior to this unfortunate accident..The plane was equipped with two fuel tanks...both of which were apparently fairly low on fuel at take-off..He may not have checked the fuel level...and the ability to switch over from an empty tank to one with fuel is difficult and possibly caused the roll and loss of control while he was attempting this tank change-over...Also...the plane has no gauges for the pilot to monitor fuel levels in the front pilots compartment..
I wonder if this plane was up to FAA specs and/or if this was overlooked in the annual inspection of the craft?
I noticed that the designer of the craft specified that the handle for tank change-over was to be located in front of the pilot...Not behind the seat, necessitating a removal of the seat belt and putting the plane on auto pilot during this contortionistic procedure..I see no mention of that in the FAAs write-up of the accident...Poor bastard...dragonfly

Reason enough;
The cover up is for the continuation of profits to the inheritors of his considerable estate.
The rich get special care, don't y'know.

Hi Mac!
I TOTALLY remember advertisements for Slim Whitman records when I was a kid in the 80's. My friends and I would start yodelling as soon as one came on... if either Davie or Keven (my two best friends at the time) were watching with me, whoever started yodelling first won
Around the same time, there were also ads once in a while for Boxcar Willie

. Oh, the hilarity. I always thought he looked like the ultimate Strange Uncle.
When attending U of M, I managed to find a great, big blow-up poster of him. I had the a friend in the art department run off some copies of it, and hung them, one on top of the other, in my dorm room. We would graffiti a poster up until too much writing/drawing was on it, then rip off that copy and start anew.
I remember this one asshole, an Engineering student, kept drawing Hitler mustaches on him. No worries... it frequently got "grown out" into a handlebar or fu-manchu within hours.
