Is there any way to obtain a copy of the rest of the story? Will there be a place here for future chapter's or new stories? Great to see this new venue and hope the archive is reintroduced and continued.

When the archive went down, Sander wiped the drive containing his stories, so if it doesn't reappear here, you won't see it. I did suggest to him that he set up an archive of his stories on ASSTR, but although I found a page for him, nothing has been posted yet.

At least, I suppose it's our Sander, since it looks new.

OH MY GOD!!!!

This is a tragedy of the first order. I am horrified to hear this.

Sander is a wonderful author of some very insightful stories. All I can hope is that he kept copies somewhere. To think his writings are lost forever saddens me. I can barely wrap my mind around what that means.

I grew up loving stories like dear friends. This is like hearing one of your closest friends was in a terrible car accident, and no one knows if he's alive or dead.

There are actual tears in my eyes. ACTUAL TEARS!

Sander, if you read this, PM, or email me please.

Excuse me all, I need to go have a good cry right now.

Yeah, well, for my legions of silent fans - I never kept copies of MY work either.

This series is an excellent one, and this year I have seen only a few ones as good as this.

However, if EA is not going to allow minor stories, it might be sadly forced to an end... :(

There is a new Sander story being posted on asstr. Here's Sander's page (http://www.asstr.org/files/Authors/Sander/). If you go there, I would suggest you read the introduction to the story and the cautions posted to it. ASSTR is an apparently an option for those wanting read or post minor content stories.

I did look at Sander's introduction page; what is written there makes decent sense to me. Because the Eunuch Archive message boards are about real people, not fictitious ones, perhaps links to ASSTR on the Archive would be a practicable solution to having ones fiction and safety too.

I, personally and subjectively, find it of a perverse social pathology that I can watch broadcast TV news and find depicted real violence which makes the most seemingly violent of the Eunuch Archive fiction stories of vastly greater redeeming social value than the violence common on TV broadcast news.

With apologies to Robert Burns, something about our society has, as I observe, "gang aglay" (or, if you prefer, gone kittywampus kerflooey and, for those words, I apologize to all felines, especially the two who permit my wife and me live in their home).

Was it Clarence Darrow who remarked to the effect that, if one boy steals from a candy store, it is a misdemeanor; while, if two boys talk about stealing from a candy store, eventually to avoid stealing, that is a felony?

So, a program on the Military Channel can describe weapons which make castrating a boy as though inconsequential in terms of contrasting violence.

No wonder I have rejected "precarious manhood" and its necessary warrior mentality for nearly the whole of my life if not even more than that.

When I recognized the extent to which testosterone was effectively at war with my brain, my mind, and my life, I chose life.

Of course, my doing that was a massive violation of the social mandate to make the fiction archives objectionable because they are fictional ways that may help in the process of learning to avoid real, terrible, unspeakably horrible actual violence.

If it is permitted to address speakable fictional violence, sooner or later, it may become possible to speak the unspeakable real warrior violence, and then what will the "warriors" do?

Steven Pressfield, "The Warrior Ethos," Black Irish Entertainment LLC, Los Angeles & New York, 2011. From the back cover, "WARS CHANGE, WARRIORS DON'T"

A relative of mine went to war, Vietnam, came back much changed. "Wars change, warriors don't" has thereby been refuted.

How does a conscientious person fight fighting without fighting?

Thank you very much for your referral.

But I am still wondering if I can read the original "Freedom is Another..." series on the web again.

Unless it reappears here, probably not. Sander didn't keep a copy. Otherwise, he would have posted it to his new Sander
page at ASSTR

Is there a place on asstr where I can post a review of Sander's story? If not, may I post a review here on the EA?
