Regarding the Anoka-Hennepin School District's lack of support for LGBT students, it's located in a band of the the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area which is represented in Congress by Michelle Bachmann, who is running for nomination as the Republican (Tea Party) presidential candidate. Her husband Marcus Bachmann is a Christian therapist who believes homosexuality can be cured.

People from this part of the Twin Cities (except for my friend, Matt) are regarded as undatable by many in the metropolitan area.
