Actually, my therapist has had more inquiries from non-transgender males for orchiectomy in the last year than in her entire career. I'd guess there are lots more people lurking here and reading than we might guess, sometimes. She'
e interested in the Male-to-Eunuch phenomenon due to these increased inquiries.
I wonder if there are any recent thesis on
a) men wanting castration
or
b) men not wanting castration but just wanting to eliminate sex drive through some drug or something like testicle alcohol injection
including their quest, successes, failures, end results and satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the process and end results.
Clearly we are not dealing with large numbers of men in this category, .........or are we? It is certainly the kind of thing that one does not discuss openly, but could be much bigger than is even evident on the EA.

Dr. Movagharnia performs orchiectomy surgery at a local hospital under general anethesia in an operating room with full staff. A year ago the cost was $4K, if it is now $5K most of the increase is due to hospital costs. However it is safe, professional and sterile. No hassles. You do not want follow up problems. He has a very friendly staff and you are treated with respect. No need to travel around the world, just Atlanta GA.
I have contacted Dr Movagharnia, who is going to charge me $7000 for a orchiectomy and scrotumectomy, expansive yes, but its done in a hospital and without the hassle of needing two letters from shrinks.
Too bad we can't get hassle-free Nullo surgery here in the USA.

i guess its a personal choice
after almost 20 years my scrotum has shrunk to almost nonexistence
nothing left to remove
it should be fine for any man to have his testicles removed hassle free any where
is the thought of getting sued that causes this problem..because they are tee..hee...testicles
too bad

In a slightly diffierent vein. Having nothing under my penis, I am looking into a glansectomy. Does anyone have a source of serious medical information as to the surgical process and healing time of a properly removed glans from the end of the penis. Other web sites are fine.
thanks

BME at one time had stories and photos of persons self operating on them self's doing glansectomy.
But now it's a pay site and the person running seems flaky from the reports I've seen on the form.

smoothie36. I have researched having a glansectomy since I too desire one. What I have found is: 1. No one I have chatted with nor read about has NOT ended up in the ER. There is lots of blood in the area and obviously the bleeding is hard to stop. Some of the guys show pictures or videos of them having done or doing it, but if you dig deeper you find they still ended up seeing a Doctor. 2. It is a complicated surgical procedure (you can find this info on the net) there are lots of blood vessels and the spongy material that gives you an erection. Plus the urinary tube. The surgery also calls for grafting skin from your thigh to close the wound properly, otherwise if you could still get an erection it would be painful. So I hope this helps you.
I still would love to have it done but realistically I know it ain't gonna happen.

Baldwin,
Thanks for the response. What you say and what I have found myself are pretty much in agreement. A doctor said I would need a four night stay near his facility if I had the surgery. Cost and effort outweigh the result I am afraid, although I would still prefer it.
Happy to communicate with you about your upcoming castration if you desire. I have been there and done that!

smoothie, you probably have all ready have discovered this but in a practical sense it is easier to remove the entire penis than cut into the shaft. There are no skin grafts necessary then and no problems with erections causing pain as all erectile tissue is removed. But as we both know it would be expensive and require a hospital stay. If you could find a doctor to do it. Personally I am not ready to sit to pee.LOL

I was a patient of Dr. Fara Movagharnia in Atlanta. He is a great surgeon and one of the friendliest and easiest people to talk to I've ever met. It's like talking to a good friend. He listened without judgement, didn't require me to go to a shrink or live as a woman (I'm not trans). He even drove me back to my hotel room after the surgery and called that night to see if I needed anything. How many doctors do that? You're usually lucky to even talk to their secretary. I'll write up a more detailed account later but I really can't say enough good things about him or his staff and can't imagine going to anyone else.
