To answer Eddie's question, I've used an epilator with results equal to waxing. I will point out though that it's more painful than waxing. Where waxing is one quick RRRIIP, epilation is a steady (and strong) sting, like tens of rubber bands being continuously snapped on your skin.
What I did for my chest was have it professionally waxed three or four times, then I switched to epilation. After awhile, the growth slowed down so much that all I need to do is catch the odd stray with a pair of tweezers.
I currently shave everything from the waist down (except for a small triangle). Am thinking of using this approach (waxing then epilation) on my legs. Just not sure how to handle the transition; that is, the area where the waxed portion ends, and the shaved area resumes.
