Was a complication on Saturday - the anesthetic did not work. Despite several injections of lidocaine, the frenum wasn't numb. When the doctor touched it with a scapel, I nearly hit the roof. He didn't want to inject any more anesthetic as he was worried that it didn't work and that I had an allergic reaction to the lidocaine.The evening after the appointment, I could barely stand peeing - it burnt that bad and my penis was very swollen. 2 days after the attempt, the swelling has gone down, but it still hurts like mad to pee. As such, its back to square 1 whilst we work out what to do now. Benzocaine could be used, as could general anesthetic, but he's worried about any allergic reactions my body could have to them, given the swelling is larger than would normally be expected. He's talking to an anesthetic expert today and if he can sort that out, its been rescheduled for next saturday. Soo annoying it didn't happen as planned

What a shame. I do hope they can find an injectable anaesthetic that works for you. I didn't really mind being circumcised under a general, but local is a lot less bother and lower risk.

Have you ever had local anaesthetic injections before, like for dentistry?

I've had licodaine once, up my nose via inhalation when having nasal cautery work done (had frequent nosebleeds). Never had it injected before though nope. Had general anesthetic once when having teeth pulled when I was young. Soo annoying that my body and anesthetic don't seem to get on

Frenulum is known to be difficult to make numb. My doc had to make extra injectionafter everything was numb, but I still felt pretty painful when it was cut. So many nerve endings in there. As the pain was bearable I thought about these countless boys who get cut without any anesthetics.

Right after the circ I was given painkillers to reduce the pain as anesthetics wore off, but I didn't use them intentionally, to see and feel how it feels. For few hours pain was pretty close to unbearable, but then it faded and went away. Only slight itching remained. That kind of pain you could feel only once in your life

I dont know what sort of procedures they use in the us, but i was circucised nearly 27 yrs ago and it was done under general.

And others who i know to have been circumcised here, all have had it done under a general.

Well I like cut cocks vice uncut, because many uncut guys don't wash themselves clean. I on hte other hand have a loose Circ when my dick is small it looks like I am not circumcised, you have to pull back the skin to see the glands.
