I can't believe that something which started out as a goodwill message has ended up in a disagreement on a group which is supposed to promote unity or eunuchity as it were ;-)

It does not matter if we are Irish, Scottish (well done on the rugby btw!), male, female or whatever - these are just labels!

A kilt is a kilt, a skirt is a skirt, a g-string is a g-string and a well wishing is a well wishing!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patricks Day (who was a welshman kidnapped as a slave and who returned to spread Christianity after he escaped for a couple of years) and didn't drink too much! (Green beers annoy me also!)

Welcome SWL. No need to apologise, there's room for everyone here. I agreed with everything you wrote, but I've been led to believe that the Deep Dark Cellar (DDC) is in part tounge in cheek, part ribbing, and part off the main eunuch related topics. Good will within the DDC is still here, if a little less obvious. "Is ann a tha 'n cairdeas mar a chumar e". โค๏ธ

Scotland should have won the triple. So close, but no cigar. There's always next year.๐Ÿ™ "Beidh lรก eile ag an bPaorach."

Some beetles eat each other, but that doesn't happen here very often. :)

Cheers to that drink (what ever colour it is), and have an enjoyable time here.

It's that time of year all over again,

kind of like deja vu.

Gareth among others wrote some great stuff in this thread as is worth reading and as last year

<4 leaf clover> <leprechaun>

Happy St. Patrick's Day

(in New ROMAN Font;) )

Nothing brilliant to add, right now, as the earlier parts of this thread has some good (corned) beef.

As opposed to other holidays, this is one I can enjoy because the only expectation is intoxication.

No card, gifts stress.

Best of all, No HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY stress as there is the green beer.

So Happy St. Patrick's Day one and all!

Moi

Got an early start this year by grilling a corned beef brisket for dinner last night. Have always done it before by boiling it for hours and then adding potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans and cabbage. This time indirectly grilled the brisket and collected the drippings in a pan to add to the vegetable boil. I have to say it turned out great!

Am going with my wife to meets some friends from high school and college. We've partied together for years and in college, even rented a place back then that we used just for parties. I'm sure we'll have a green beer or two and probably a shot of Irish whiskey thrown in. One of the other guys has only one testicle so we'll have a toast to balls, no balls or just one.

Guys wearing dresses around where I am from are liable to get KILT...

Could that be how this dress got the name?

...not a very tolerant lot...what?
