I was wearing low rise panties size 6 until I found some men's briefs which have a flat front panel looking very much like panties. They are made for men. I wear size medium low rise size m/m.
Buy them at WalMart. Colored red, blue, dark blue, black.

You should note that Jockey "for her" Elancee and Jockey "for him" Elance are quite similar except:
men's have a frontal pouch without the front fly opening while women's have a flat front
women's have a slightly higher leg cut in the "bikini" and "french cut" styles and a higher waist in the "brief" style
women's have a slightly wider crotch than most women's panties
thus most men could wear the women's styles but women might find the men's styles to be too full in the front.

I've been wearing Jockey women's panties exclusively for 4 years and find the flat front panel easily stretches around my genitals, such that lack of a built-in pouch doesn't matter. A comfortable pouch forms naturally. I use hipster, french cut, low-rise brief, and bikini styles, favoring cotton in warm weather. The lighter fabric and much narrower crotch of women's panties is a comfort advantage.
But while my cock and balls are of normal size, in comparison with my 44" waist and hip dimensions they are disproportionately small. If I were both better endowed and lots slimmer, I might need versions with a pouch. It's been two years since I shopped for underwear and I see now that Jockey has added men's products having lots of the attributes of the women's models while avoiding the cross-dressing implication. If I were a gym user I'd look into them; for the doctor I just wear my panties and it doesn't matter.

My favorite underwear - Hanes string bikini in 30/32 was switched to 28/30 and 32/34, then finally discontinued all over here. I am NOT happy...

I've tried the men's equivlent. Stay with what you got.
Jockey outlets usually sell them for $5 or less a pair.

It should also be noted that Jockey has even dropped the "for her" designation from their women's elancee panties. Does that indicate they are being being worn by men who feel uncomfortable with that designation on the tag?

http://www.brieftales.com/ is marketing panties to men. Some of the models look great. I think we should be able to choose what kind of underwear we want without discrimination. To stand up for our right to not be embarassed, I plan to walk into a victoria's secret store and buy panties in public.

Many good ideas posted in this thread!
Low rise bikini or string bikini for me. Male or female panties. I cherish a couple pair of female "boy cut" in nice colors. Male fabric is thicker, crotch about 1" wider, elastics around waist and leg holes very tight. Female fabric softer and more comfy, elastics around waist and leg holes much easier and comfy, leg holes loose enough to allow cooling air to enter while keeping thing(s) inside. Female panties fit better and are much more comfortable and have wider color and pattern selection. I prefer female panties but will also wear male panties.
I am a man and feel like one even in nice female panties. I'm very comfortable with and love panties. I am not sissy, gay, transexual, TG, TV, or CD and have nothing against those who are.
I believe Jockey should take Elancee, place a pix of a guy and girl both wearing them on the box, designate them "for us!", vend them in both ladies' and mens' departments and make a zillion dollars. About time somebody realized women and men are much more alike than they are different!
Everyone on this board is emasculated, either real or imagined, or seriously considering it. Welcome!
When facing a "pants down" situation either dress with undies appropriate for it or stop in privacy, remove your panties, and go commando. Nobody's business but your own and/or Significant Other. Make sure your fly is up when wearing certain bright colors.
Please count my vote for PANTIES!
Thank you.

They (Elance) are designed as male panties with a pouch in the front. Elancee is the female version but they are such that they can also be worn by men.

The elance are marketed as bikini briefs for guys, but when you type "panties" into the search at that site, you will see underwear clearly designed for women, such as "Hanes Her Way", but they have photos of male models. See:
