Not melt, but burn.

Well, 200 C(or so) was enough to leave nice imprints on fingers when I touched overloaded triac.

300 С or so on soldering iron was enough to leave burn marks on fingernails.

And on topic - this tool must be very quick, or it will be really painful in process.

True but I'm sure some people here want that pain ^^

I suppose there might be other potential dangers such as infection or electrocution... However most folks probably would stop well before they managed to do any serious harm to themselves.
