The trouble with symptoms and blood and urine tests is that they frequently test for ONLY ONE THING and don't run a wide range of tests that can help point them in the right direction for a diagnosis.
Of course, multiple tests keeps you returning, runs up the medical and lab bills. So the one test process is self-explanatory.
If you knew what multiple tests could be performed, and you had the money, I suppose you could request (demand) that they be done. But most of us have neither the knowledge or the money, so we are under their control.
i just assume that people come here to get information from people who have some specific experience or knowledge in areas of common interest. i agree that it's best to get a full range of tests associated with a complete physical exam, but i know how expensive that can and so was just suggesting the tests that my own experience suggests are wise in this case, although i am not a doctor or medical professional.
diabetes can be managed or it can be life-threatening. the earlier it is diagnosed, the more likely the former is the outcome. that's all i'm saying or suggesting.
and, when it comes to my health, if i feel that something is "wrong" and i have some idea of what it might be and my doctor is unwilling or unable to listen because of stubborness or incompetence, i will "demand" or find another doctor. it's my life, not my doctor's.
